Posted: 20 Jun 2021 12:44 AM PDT How are the actual MMO aspects in The Lord of the Rings Online? I would love to hear from you players, especially now that apparently a new progression server (right?) is starting. Is the game more like a solo-rpg in a multiplayer world or do you frequently interact with other players? Is there matchmaking in dungeons, any sort of server community or anything like that? Finally, how's the player base? Is the population healthy or is the game just lonely? I started playing SWTOR this Spring to see something new, and while I enjoy the class story content of it, it is more like a single-player game in the end. Group PVE content so far has been almost automated in how it feels, absolutely no need for communication in the matchmaking dungeons. It's a fun game, but doesn't really scratch that MMO itch. After I'm done with the stories I want to see, I hardly feel a need to continue. In contrast to that, the recently launched The Burning Crusade Classic (a WoW expansion) still retains some of the original MMO-/Community aspect of the game. There is a clear community on each server and you frequently not just need to, but also want to interact with other players in the content. Why I specifically want to know about LOTRO is of course the setting, novelty of a new game and if I have understood the server system correctly, now also might be a good time to check it out. My main game is Final Fantasy XIV, but I'd love to explore something else during the wait for the new expansion. Thank you all in advance. [link] [comments]
Imbued LI's upgrades - Or, "How to be able to kill things better" Posted: 19 Jun 2021 07:19 PM PDT My main is level 128 hunter, and she has two lvl 100 1st age LI's, both imbued. However, their damage output is dismal compared to other non LI weapons in the game. I've spent a good amount of Mithril coins upgrading the legacies, but that costs actual money, and I can't really spend that right now. Is there another way to give my lovely weapons a boost, or should I give up on them and use regular weapons with better stats? Please be kind, this is my only real video game, and I'm not in it for the numbers. I just want to be able to kill things without dying every 3 seconds. [link] [comments]
Looking for active & fun kin on Arkenstone Posted: 19 Jun 2021 04:15 PM PDT Hi everyone. I decided to get back to the game after roughly a 4 year absence (!) and looking to join a fun group of people to play with. I'm a 118 minstrel on Arkenstone and mostly just looking for a kin that is active, social and mature. My character's name is Lixia and I'll be online for the next hour or two if you want to reach me in the game directly. Thanks and sorry if this isn't allowed (didn't catch it in the rules on the sidebar). [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Jun 2021 03:42 PM PDT Midsummer festival deed from last year, where you had to do 2 each of the firefly lantern quests and then got the title "The Flickering Flame." Does anyone know, did they take it away? It's still on the wiki and on fibrojedi's Midsummer guide, but I don't see it in my deed log this year unless I'm completely failing my perception check. I'll be kinda sad if they did, I really wanted to get that title at the very least with my red line rune-keeper :( [link] [comments]
