I had to claw my way into even getting back in the account. Email changes, username changes, password changes over the years... this guy was made on launch :P It was tied to an email i didnt even know existed. Go figure. Anyways my characters seem to be on Meneldor which is not available to play on. The transfer button allows me to "copy" not move them to Bullroarer or Palantir which also both seem unavailable to play on. Are they like perma gone/stuck in limbo or is this something support can fix? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 18 Jun 2021 11:24 PM PDT Hello all, I've been trying to get in touch with support from Standing Stone Games as it seems that my LOTRO account was hacked about 9 - 10 weeks ago. I actually contacted them immediately after I noticed that I got an email saying "your information was changed successfully" and I had not made any request to change my info. I tried to log into my account and it was impossible. I was able to log in through my 2nd account that holds D&D and contacted support. They responded a few days later and told me that the appropriate department will contact me. However, that was it. No department Ever contacted me. I made another post on the ticket... and another... I got no answers. I then made another ticket. They responded to that again within a few days stressing that they will contact me from the proper department. They then merged the tickets and still kept silent. In total, this issue has been running since the 10th of April. That's more than 2 months!... More than two months after having my account stolen. I still have my original purchased box back in the pre-order period with my activation key, DVD, and literature. I offered to produce that to verify ownership of the account. I got no response for that either. My account had a unique password (I always use different passwords for all my accounts) and it could not have leaked out. It was brute forced out and then they changed the email and then password. That whole thing is a security loophole that should not exist. Changing the email to an account should include verification through the old email. And now... no response for over two months? Does anybody have any experience with them? Will they ever respond? Is anyone there? Or I should consider my Lifetime Account permanently gone? [link] [comments] | ||

I am curious to see people's opinions on it. Personally I am glad they are implementing it, in fact I think they should have many years ago. The questing in the open world is just too easy as it is, very underwhelming. Not enjoyable or engaging at all, to just two-shot all enemies while they inflict near no damage to you. Is it absolutely necessary to get a Third Age level 100 up to level 31 and deconstruct for best possible legacies?
