How to Cover All Crafts, including Optimized Legendary Crafting Posted: 20 Jun 2021 11:58 AM PDT Hi guys! This is my first post in LOTRO, but I'm a long-time reader! I'm a subscriber who's been playing for 4 years and today I'm here to share a system I've build for those interested in covering ALL the crafts and want the best way to cover Legendary Item crafting. This guild is meant for VIPs, Premium players, and F2P players that have bought at least 2 more character slots from the base level. Solo players, players in small or inactive kins that don't have the ability to ask kinmates for crafting, and anyone who just doesn't feel comfortable asking strangers in chat to craft them Legendary gear can benefit from this guide. My goal is to show which classes benefit most from each craft in terms of both gear while leveling and later in the LI crafting process. Who Can Craft What? Below, I've identified which specific crafts cover each classes Legendary Weapon (LW) and Legendary Item (LI.) You can see that the majority of classes are a bit flexible when it comes to LWs. Most can use either metal- or wood-based weapons. Weaponsmith and Woodworker are our heavy lifters, then, as they are responsible for providing every LW except the RK's rune-stone. The other crafts almost all cover 2 different class-based LI's.
With this in mind, I've created both a 4 character and 7 character plan to covering Legendary crafting. The Four Character Plan This plan is the simplest and most optimized of the two plans. It's usable by VIPs, Premium accounts with their base level of character slots, and F2P players who have at least 4 total character slots unlocked. The trade off here is that crafting is harder because several craft skills don't have their matching gather skills in the same vocation. For this reason, it's extremely important to keep all your crafters in mind when you're playing a given character. You'll likely need to gather extra metal on your prospectors, and your scholar may want to do material runs to fill out their needs. Slayer deeds - particuarly for animals or sentient enemies - are very important for this build, as it is our primary supply of firs for the tailor, and will help supplement our scholar's materials. You'll also need to pick either Woodman or Historian to feed your cook if you want toon and pet buff foods. I usually take all 4 characters through their intros so I can pick up their craft skills, then share craft materials through shared storage to keep them supplied. Since this build leans towards completion-ism, you're likely going to want some Stones of the Tortoise so you don't out-level content.
The Six or Seven Character Plan This expanded plan is usable by VIPs, and Premium or F2P that have a total of at least 6 character slots. In this plan, everyone takes a craft skill that matches to a corresponding gather skill and ignores the other skills that don't suit them. This build a bit more forgiving of each individual characters gathering since it has a total of 4 prospectors and 2 foresters. Slayer deeds are still import for scholars however, as it's the only way non-Historians can help supply scholar materials. This build focus more on the Best-in-Slot for classes, as the intent is to have the crafts for each character useful both while leveling and for crafting Legendary gear. Premium and F2P characters that have 6 slots as opposed to 7 will want to use Woodman or Historian to supply the Tinker to cover farming and cooking. In this set up, the first 3 crafts are the most important, as those three between them cover all those characters' LWs and LIs.
I hope this is helpful to anyone trying to make sense of the legendary item crafting. For more about LI's be sure to head to the top of the page to the pinned post and find the guilds to customizing and imbuing them! [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
New to LOTRO and have some questions Posted: 20 Jun 2021 07:54 PM PDT I'm level 5 and loving this game. What I'm curious about: when you get a.home choice, can you just hang out and do small side quests? Talk to other players in your neighborhood? Are neighborhoods a thing? Returning and looking for a friendly, active, laidback kin on Landroval. Posted: 20 Jun 2021 04:55 PM PDT I played a very long time ago (release to after MoM expansion) and returned a little while ago. Just looking for some friendly people to quest with. I have a level 31 minstrel running around the Lone Lands right now. [link] [comments] |
