Zoning advice: Must play vs "eh, do it for XP I guess"

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 11:08 AM PST

I'm level 24 right now and still in bree, wrapping up life around the Old Forest, then heading north.

The problem now lies in the fact that I'm a completionist, so by the time I lead Lone-Lands, or the zone after, is that I'll be overlevelled for Angmar/Rivendell etc.

What are some zones I can pass on, while there are ones that have fantastic quest lines/enjoyable exploration.

I want a Dwarf! Should I pick Guardian or Champion?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 11:58 AM PST

I want a definite answer please!

Which will people in raids scoff at the least (since we know that "man" is the best race for everything)?

It sucks so bad that they couldn't make dwarf have a definitive primary race-related class which fits it like elves have. I don't want some fire-wielding warlock or whatever rune keepers are. Dwarves have heavy armor, yell something, and charge into battle. Now, the question is whether they tank or dps. Though, apparently, they can do neither well. People say that for a guardian you gotta be a man, and for champion you also gotta be a man. Some swear that guardians HAVE to be men because of muh healing, but that single forumpost that everyone ever links to ( https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?660821-Best-Race-for-each-Class ) says it's not as important to be a guardian man as it is important to be a champion man because of muh parry. And it mentiones dwarves and hobbits, but fails to suggest classes that would be most min-max.

So, once and for all, which is the lesser evil, and which will not get you kicked out of a group: dwarf guardian or dwarf champion.

    Tnx!

    Are all classes viable ?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 07:37 PM PST

I'm a new player, and I'm not sure what class to pick. I keep reading that some classes aren't usable in some end game content? Is that true or are people overreacting?

I low key just want to be a minstrel..

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 08:26 PM PST

Is there any support being implemented for Mac users that are on the horizon? Did they ever fix the Catalina update issue?

Skirmish Bounties (vendor trash) - can't sell?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 10:15 AM PST

QQ - I have 3 items in inventory called "Bounty:Guardsman", etc....says I can sell at any vendor, but I don't seem to be able to. Double and triple checked to make sure they were no locked. Any idea what to do with these? If I were not so cheap, I'd just destroy them but they add up to a few gold and I'm saving my pennies. :)

Anyone have or know of a good breakdown of what level each zone and area is?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 02:21 PM PST

So after work tonight I am starting my High Elf Champion. I want to see as much of each zone as possible.

I was wondering if there was a good breakdown of levels of the different areas in each zone so I can utilize the turtle Stone, (whatever it is that stops you from gaining XP), to play the content at around the right level.

Does anyone know a good place to find this? Information on any hidden quests, rare drops or spawns, or great quests would be awesome as well.

    Thank you.

    Help with cosmetics!

So ofcourse like many before I became completely inspired by playing Captain Ori. I loved his look/feel and gameplay. So now I want to base my character on his look. However I'm having difficulty actually finding what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any tips to gear pieces that might look like these 2? Help would be greatly appreciated!

    doesn’t launch on my Mac

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 01:41 PM PST

i found out about this game a while ago but forgot about it until recently, when i reread the LotR books. I decided to download the game on my MacBook but every time I click on the launcher it goes to the "loading config" window and after all of that finishes, the window closes and the game doesn't launch. I tried looking online for solutions but nothing worked?? i really wanna play the game lolšŸ˜‚šŸ˜

    Any Former Dwarrowdelf players?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 06:25 AM PST

I used to play on Dwarrowdelf from 2010/2011 and left shortly after Rise of Isengard came outm my main freep was a loremaster named Ai, and I ran around with the kin Kinghts of MiddleEarth. My main creep was a warg named Roarz. I was just curious if any one from the old server was on here. I'm hoping to get back to LOTRO at some point, but I have a new born so that won't be for a while.

    Guardian with an Inferiority Complex

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 04:48 AM PST

So I got my Guardian to 130 last weekend. My two-handed LI is coming along nicely 73/83 and somewhere in the 60s for the other. I'm starting to do more respectable damage and can safely take on light blues and greens at 130, I can even take down the occasional elite or on-level orc. Apart from my weapon and belt (both first age) the rest of my gear is crap. I ran into a fellow Dwarf Guardian and his morale was more than double mine. My current unbuffed morale is right at 150K. My question is fairly simple, how do I start getting better gear? Pretty sure no one would want me in an instance. Can I craft anything? Can I trade in stuff like in Mordor? I did pick up a couple of better jewelry pieces when I did some of the book quests. Thanks in advance for any help.

What defensive stat for which class?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 02:21 AM PST

Hi, as a fairly new player whos trying out the different classes Im a little overwhelmed with which stats to go for - especially the defensive ones.

[1] Besides the fact that vit is always helpful I had people tell me that e.g. champs want mit/armor over resistance but for wardens resi is good. Is that true and why?

[2] Also wiki says resi only 'blocks' wound, poisen ect but when I play mini my balads also often seem to miss due to resist; how das that work?

[3] In case of warden, are evade/block/parry worth it or should one go straight up for mit/armor?

[4] Are any of the named stats more important when switching from solo to tanking builds? Or is it still mit/vit/armor you are going for?

    Thanks:)
