Does the DLC giveaway code unlock classes? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 08:49 PM PDT Title. I was thinking of installing LOTRO again to use the giveaway code so I can play it later. Does the classes like the warden become available after Redemption or is it still required to purchase it? [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Sep 2021 09:26 AM PDT I used to play LOTRO years ago and am only just not reading through LOTR. But immersing myself in the story has made me pumped up to experience a video game in the LOTR universe. I wanted to see how the population is doing in LOTRO and if it's still worth coming back to as someone who would be starting all over again. Thanks for all responses in advance! New player should I start on the legacy server? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 07:39 PM PDT I'm burned out on WoW classic and looking to try this game. I'm an old school mmo guy but I like to be able to group up and not solo all the time. So looking for some advice from the community for a good active NA server. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Sep 2021 07:13 PM PDT I only wish to play this a couple of times per week for a few hours at a time and only wish to do solo/story related content. Just got this free quest coupon. I don't mind buying the other expansions, but not if I have to play the game exclusively for the rest of my life. Is this feasable? [link] [comments]
Can we discuss the Brawler class? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 03:14 PM PDT With the launch date officially set, I'd like to ask about the changes coming to the game. I think it's safe to say a LI rework is long anticipated, and hopefully the changes are well received. I do not really understand why we are getting a new melee DPS (/tank?) class, however. Aside from being relatively unsupported in lore (Helm Hammerhand is, I think, the only example), there are already 4-5 classes that fill that role. I am not super deep in the endgame min/maxing, so maybe I'm just missing something. Can anyone help me understand, for lack of a better question, why we're getting the brawler? [link] [comments]
Is VIP worth it now I have the quest packs? Posted: 28 Sep 2021 02:08 AM PDT Hello, As the title suggests. I recently redeemed the free quests code, I haven't bought the expansions quest packs which are 99 points each, I believe. However, is there really any point in me subbing at this point? What would make it worth it? I believe you get access to the expansions quest packs or do I still have to buy those for 99 points each on top of the sub? [link] [comments]

Returning lifetime sub player (after nearly 10 years). What do I do with 50k lotro store points... Posted: 27 Sep 2021 02:36 PM PDT Got to level 70 years ago, had a blast in PvMP then life took over. Logged on this week to find a fair build up of points and no idea where to start! Do I reroll, pick up my lvl 70 champ...try a new class (I'm talking warden or beorning)...help! I've missed a shit ton of expansions and regions! Where to start! [link] [comments]

Treebeard: Any Class specific set armors available at this level? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 10:37 AM PDT I am at end game for the first time like...ever....in a MMO, and can actually take the time to get a cool full end game gear set. I am currently 4/6 pieces through the Angmar instance armor set. But was wondering... Are there any class specific armor sets at this point in the game? I know that Moria has some class specific sets, but maybe Shadows of Angmar didn't have any? Is the angmar instance gear as good as it gets at level 50, or is there something else out there? Whats the release schedule normally like with expansion launches ? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 12:48 PM PDT Hey so im just wondering what the timeline of expansions are normally like, such as are dungeons there at launch, if not how long until they normally add some and how long until the raid comes out ? just wondering what end game will be like overall after finishing the story, thanks [link] [comments]
Does buying the Mines of Moria Expansion no longer give you the Warden and Rune Keeper classes? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 11:44 AM PDT I decided to pick up all the expansions that were 99 points, but I realized that the Warden and Rune Keeper classes were still unavailable to me. Is the Mines of Moria Expansion no longer offering the two classes? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Sep 2021 03:08 PM PDT Brand new to lotro, in fact I haven't even installed it yet. I plan to use Steam. My question is with the new free quest stuff being handed out, can it be applied through steam? [link] [comments]
Dwarf/Guardian okay for a newish/returning player? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 07:27 AM PDT I'm mainly looking to play my 1st character as solo PvE and be able to solo most/all the quests in the game by myself (Except fellowship ones of course unless I get a group going through LFG Channel) I just want to be able to do what I like to do and just absorb and take in all of what LOTRO has to offer solo mode so that when I get things wrapped around my head and start getting more knowledgeable on LOTRO, I can do more group stuff with others! I'm situated on the Gladden server and am in the process of joining a kinship, woohoo! So, while I want to solo mostly, if I end up grouping with some kinship members, that's fine too. But yeah, just let me know if the Dwarf/Guardian is a good first character to make, with good survivability to do most/all the quests solo!!! Thank you!!! [link] [comments]
Leveling/Questing: making sure I'm not missing anything Posted: 27 Sep 2021 06:27 AM PDT If there is a general thread I should have posted this in please let me know! There are several guides that discuss zone level ranges(the new player guide linked in the sticky, Zones by Level on the wiki, at least two videos I found on Youtube, etc) . However, I am finding the in-game map kind of unwieldy, and ultimately I feel confused about the "how to get there". If the answer is "just walk", that is fine, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. In truth, the UI on this game is really small and as someone slightly vision impaired I am having a lot more difficulty with it than I have other games. If there is any way to make the game look bigger on modern monitor resolutions I would love advice on that point. Is there any advice to be given here regarding how to travel? I tried looking through guides and I'm just not seeing it. I found a YouTube video that was supposed to be for new players where he rapidly spit through a dozen leveling zones without really discussing where they are or how to get to them. I feel like I might be missing something beyond "just walk there". The horse service does not offer to take me anywhere relevant most of the time, even to towns I have already visited. Do people just walk to where they're going? If so, is there a more functional map online(or a guide to using the in-game map?) I am in Ered Luin on an Elf. I have reached level 17 after two play sessions and all of my quests are starting to become out leveled, so I realized the progression is not going to simply lead me to places that continue being relevant. I was in the Dwarf end of Ered Luin, at a city, and the horses would not even take me back to where I started in Ered Luin which seemed to be close to The Shire, and I think based on the world map The Shire should be closer to Bree-Lands(a zone that is closer to my level it seems) than Ered Luin. So I used my "home" portal thing to get back where I started, then server maintenance happened so I will get back on tonight. TL;DR After some research I have realized I should be traveling to Bree-Land and/or The Lone-Lands from Ered Luin because I have out leveled my zone. How would a veteran take a new character from Ered Luin to The Lone-Lands? Am I missing any systems or tips? The UI is small and the map is hard to read(vision impaired, though it isn't bad enough to prevent me from playing most games) and I'm kind of feeling the burn on navigation here. I don't mind wandering and adventuring, but it feels bad when quests stop giving meaningful EXP with no next leveling zone in sight. The horse stable guys seem mostly irrelevant with most of them not offering me even most of the towns I have been to, so I'm guessing you just walk(or ride) everywhere? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Sep 2021 04:22 PM PDT Hello, Anyone else having a launcher that takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get past checking for the Microsoft Distribution thingy? Or, anyone know why it takes that long? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Sep 2021 04:05 PM PDT Anyone know of a 1 life only guild or group of players? I would love to play with some of them or chat with them. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Sep 2021 02:10 PM PDT I just downloaded the game (and redeemed the code for free quest packs) and don't know what to do with my character. As in what classes and races are strong, weak, useless... Thanks [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Sep 2021 11:52 AM PDT Hey y'all, Has anyone else been crashing after todays update? I've been crashing consistently every 20 minutes, it's not area specific either, it's happened at every location I've been too, so I'm assuming that it has something to do with the updates. Let me know if y'all have had any crashes, I wanna see if I'm alone in this. [link] [comments]
The small UI makes the game unplayable. Is there a fix? Posted: 27 Sep 2021 11:46 AM PDT I tried searching for addons to max the UI, but no luck. I cant see the items in my bags with my 1440p resolution. Is there a fix so I doesnt have to use a binocular when searching for my stuff? [link] [comments] |
