    Quests not triggered when killing enemies

    Some enemies in Moria had a quest ring above their heads, so I assumed I'd get the quest once I killed them. Yet that didn't happen. Weird, but there's not many enemies like that so I just didn't bother and skipped those quests

    Now I'm in Rohan and there's plenty of enemies with quests like this again. Too many to jut skip. Looks like I might be missing part of the fun. So I'm really dying to know now; how do you trigger these quests? Perhaps not by killing them but in another way? Or is this really a bug. I'm on Mac, if that matters...

    Can't open lotro

    I installed lotro but when I'm trying to open the game it starts to "downloading game files". It has downloaded the files for all this day and now it's stuck on 60%. What should I do?

    Criticism on the forums: inquisitor Cordovan will make sure you'll be silenced

    I took the time to create a factually sound thread about SSG's M.O. of

    • Doing nothing + saying nothing as evident by a dev tracker with almost exclusively answers for fluff threads or information about shop sales/Beacon etc. while people are having
      • Severe issues logging in
      • Servers are getting exponentially unstable during prime times
      • No class reworks for months
      • Non-existent communication
      • etc.
    • but my thread was closed as Cordovan couldn't tolerate the title of the thread which in his mind was "a juvenile insult", to which he admitted in a PM, so essentially he silences a complete thread about all their shortcomings for years as SSG as he doesn't like the title, or as I wrote him in a PM: "Silencing criticism is far easier than having to face it head-on, especially if you can hardly refute it"

    I'm quite fascinated by SSG's race to the bottom in terms of service/product quality and complete customer neglect over the years: I mean you have to actually invest a lot of effort to not see how utterly laughable your product and behavior is.

    Playing on my hunter causes my wifi to crash every few minutes. It happens with no other class ( I play them all). I tried the hunter for a full hour and lost wifi connection at least 30 times. I know there were extensive changes to hunter, but how would this affect my wifi connection?

    Roving threats one can solo

    I like the appearance of the unearthed first age weapons they offer for brands. Does anyone know which ones you can solo? Since no one appears to be doing them anymore on Laurelin :(

    Improving DPS

    Hi,

    Is there any way or trick to improve dps? Hunters are doing 120k parse on dummy and I can get only 70-80k. I'm always miles away from "standard" dps (always 50-60k behind), I use swappy, maxed LI's, full t1-t2 remmo gear, potoins, max traits and virtues... I studied rotations and I do some rotations as I found in forums...

    So the thing is the way I use keyboard? I click keys as fast as I can and I dont use mouse click on skills but I dont understand my poor dps.

    Error 201 issues with files

    I know that this has probably been posted on this community before. I like to play lotro on my Mac, but for some reason when I try to load a server, the game crashes and gives me the error 201 which states that my files could not be read and that I should check if I had permission to write them or if they exist. I checked in my Lotro folder, and the only document there was a user preferences doc. Nothing else. I am guessing that this means that the files don't exist. I have tried to reinstall the application several times to no avail. I also get the same error on my pc with the same user preferences file.

    Allegiance System - I must be missing something?

    Today my first Alt leveled enough to unlock the Allegiance system and I was so surprised I had to click to see what it was about.

    I was not active when that was implemented, and when my first toon reached it I didn't quite get it - later I evidently simply forgot about it.

    I am wondering - am I missing out something big? Ph4t L3wt? Gear? Traits? Or it is just another Lotro system that people just don't engage with?

    Any tips for some scraggly every-once-in-a-while F2P player?

    First of, I'm not playing in any serious capacity. I vendor everything that's not a consumable or gear I can use, because why get myself bogged down with my extremely limited inventory. I'm not allowed to have a mount or more than 2 gold (but are allowed to be harassed 24/7 by SPEND MONEY TO HAVE MORE GOLD advertisement), so I just dick around as a Lore-master on foot grinding through the umpteenth kill/fetch quest for the lulz. My main MMO is actually GW2, but every now and then I miss the classic mmoRPG experience instead of the twitch combat action MMO that GW2 is.

    So if I'm supposed to go full agility instead of will(?) or are in dire need of saving EVERY. SINGLE. TATER. for the tater uber quest of doom that awaits every lvl30, please, let me know! I'm probably never going to reach endgame anyway, so I take it pretty relaxed. But I won't turn my nose on some pointers.

    Last thing I did before I made the mistake of talking to Gandalf and getting sent to fucking Rivendell was grinding the everliving hell out of the barrows, where I was done with most quests I think. Buckland was next on my list before a mad wizard sent me to fantasy Vulcans.
