    Homesteads!

    Howdy folks!

Returned player here. I was thinking of buying a home in Bree. I would be curious to know what everyone thinks of the different homes and what your preferences are and why!

    Can't see fireworks?

    Posted: 06 May 2020 01:17 AM PDT

I have never been able to see my own fireworks in this game for some reason. Is that a setting I could configure or something like that? Has anyone else had this problem?

What happens with the items in a kinship house if the kinship is disbanded?

    Posted: 06 May 2020 03:15 AM PDT

Before I came back to LOTRO in March, I've been offline for quite some time. So when I came back, I realized my kinship - which already wasn't very active when I last played - is dead. I usurped the leader position and waited if people would come back online, but they didn't. Most characters have been offline for more than 200 days.

So for now, I have a neat kinship house for me, but of course I'm thinking about deleting the kinship altogether and join an active one again.

Question: what happens to all the stuff in the kinship house if I do so? I read in a post from 2012 or something all character-bound things will be send to their respective accounts, while all other stuff would be send to my character, as she is the kinship leader. Is that still correct? Any tip is appreciated, thanks :)

[Retired player 2012-2017] Is the Reaver still a beast in solo ?

    Posted: 05 May 2020 05:48 PM PDT

    Hello,

I used to play this game from 2012 to late 2017. One of the thing I loved was the PvMP. I had a R11 Reaver (Largthos) that could 1v1 many people, even 1v2-3. I really had a lot of fun in 85-95-100-105, leveling my character and learning how to get better, until the Mordor expansion and the enormous power up the freeps got. I couldn't even kill a burglar alone anymore, and didn't want to gear my freeps again, so I left.

I am wondering if the situation is now any better ? There were usually an update to creeps so they can be decent again, however this time, with the "renewed" (3yr ago it was :p) focus on PVE, PvP seems to be left out.
There was a whole server migration craze at the time, and many Ettenmoors became empty. I migrated my reaver from Estel/Sirannon to Evernight when it was possible. I read this migration system is no longer available.

I miss wandering solo around the map and kill those I encounter, and also the occasional duel south of Tol, before it becomes a massive brawl. It really something I no longer see in any games. So :

Is it possible to solo again as reaver and kill your opponent ?
If yes, what is the winrate of a normal creep against a normal freep ?
Are all the creeps in a zerg because they get deleted if they're solo ?
Is this kind of pvp (roaming solo) dead and a just fond memory now ?
What's the usual population in Ettenmoors ? (week and weekend)
Is there still duels south of Tol ?

It's been almost three years now, and I miss this pvp and my character.
Thanks to anyone answering my questions!

A solution if you experience FPS drops

    Posted: 05 May 2020 07:12 AM PDT

    Hello,

My game, on high quality graphics, have regular FPS drops every 15-20 seconds for 3-5 seconds, dropping from ~35fps to 9-10 fps. CTRL + F to see your FPS, then go to options, troubleshooting and change your engine speed and test. Personnaly it was by default on very high, I put it on intermediate, and now I don't experience those FPS drops. It resulted in a loss of general FPS(from ~40 to ~35), but it is much more stable now :).

    Bye!

    P.S: Found this trick(reversed) from soltasword : https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?662248-PC-terrible-FPS&p=7816605#post7816605

    Do the Lootbox Rewards Change?

    Posted: 05 May 2020 02:42 PM PDT

I am curious to know if the rewards found inside of the lootboxes (such as the Travellers lootboxes) change throughout the year, or become unavailable and are replaced by different items.

I am especially interested in learning how this impacts the cosmetic/pet/mount availability. :)

    Average Server downtime?

    Posted: 05 May 2020 05:01 AM PDT

    Hi Guys,

New player here, just went to login and noticed servers are now down for 4hrs, do the developers stick to this downtime rigorously? or if they say 4hrs does it often come up sooner or indeed later?

Want to plan my time is all :) Probably enjoying the game too much lol.
