I was doing the hammer of the underworld and I accidentally destroyed all of the grappling hooks/ladders so no more enemies spawned, and this is apparently a bug I think. I can't seem to find the map table or anything like that to leave the battle and start again, so I'm stuck here for the time being. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 23 May 2020 07:15 PM PDT hey all. Played the game years ago when it first came out. I had a few things unlocked like the warden class, a ranger helm and some other stuff. Problem is I can't remember my username and don't have the email I used to use. I know the email that was registered with the account just forgot the password. Havnt used it in over 10 years . I'm wondering if there's any way if I call support maybe I'll have luck and get it back? Just figured I'd ask. I also don't see the ranger helm anymore is it gone forever? My chars are split between Laurelin and Evernight (and Anor) and I spend too much time debatting myself, where to invest the majority of my time as both have pros and cons when it comes to population, server ambience and PVMP. | In-game ticket response time more than a month common? Posted: 23 May 2020 03:08 AM PDT I'll try to keep this short. Pre-information I played between 2008-2013 and then logged in briefly 2015 for the world server transfers. Now during quarantine I've decided to pick up the game and start exploring all the new stuff added the past "few" years. Back in 2013 I had several characters well developed and a main that was lvl 85 and had all the best gear at the time. The problem When I logged on for the first time in many years my main character had 0 gold. In fact, all of my accounts 7 character had 0 gold on them. Curiously they all had a few silver and copper. Now... that's not how I left the game in 2013 and as you can understand it's hard for me to remember exactly how much I had, on any of the characters. I just know for sure that I didn't have 0 gold on every character as that is almost defying the games nature of fully leveled up characters. Support - the real issue On april 5th I sent an in-game ticket (more detailed) and got a reply the next day from a GM that I had to change my password and that they would investigate further. I immediately changed it and replied on the ticket that it was changed, then... silence. April 20th. (15 days later) I replied to my own comment asking if they had any update on my issue or any idea what was going on... still silence. April 29th. (24 days later) I once again asked for an update and now my ticket says that I have to wait for a response from a GM before I can comment again. May 3rd. (28 days later) I submitted a ticket on the Standing Stones Games Help site and included my in-game ticket ID, once again asking for any kind of update. As you can guess, still nothing. Now it's may 23rd, soon 2 months(!) before I got my latest response. Is this how the game works now a days? Any ideas how I should move forward? PS. I know I could still play the game and start gathering gold again but I was so of put when I couldn't even pay for a non-swift travel to any area in the game that I just... felt like I wanted this resolved first. Tldr; Returning player, all characters have 0 gold. Sent ticket - got a quick response that it would be further investigated - then radio silence for 2 months. [link] [comments] | ||

Which race starting locations got the best Tolkien-based lore? Most canonic and precise? Shire? I played LotRO ~10 years ago or so as Hobbit Ministrel. Sinse then I've learned more about ME and wanna explore it from lore POV. So.. as I played in Shire in old days.. I wonder which location except Shire is well made in terms of canonic lore? | Value of purchase and sales for LOTRO as a new player Posted: 23 May 2020 09:09 AM PDT As a new player i must say i find the DLC and microtransactions in this game to be a bit confusing. I have done a bunch of reading trying to get a grip of what is and isn't available as a free2play player. Some information is old talking about TurbinePoints and it's hard to tell really what is up to date. To make matters "worse", some content is now unlocked for everyone so it's hard to tell really what i will be needed to buy when the game goes back to "normal". The store apparently doesn't show items that are unlocked so it feels rather empty in some categories. At the same time i appreciate to be able to try out content for free, it just difficult to tell what that content really is. So it might not be the best time to buy DLC at this point but at the same time you are wondering just how much is this game going to cost me? Looking at the LOTRO store page there are a few expansions listed and adding up those prices makes you sweat. Is buying all that really good value for a game this old? I did see you can do some intense grinding and unlock stuff that way but i don't know if that is a viable solution. Then again, it's great to be able to buy parts of the game as an alternative to the subscription model. Some people mentioned that there where regular sales going on and i was wondering on what levels those are? Just 25% or are we talking 75% off? Apparently there where sales on LOTROPoints as well? Can't really find any other retailers available that sells expansions any more. (Someone suggested "Cheap Punks" but that felt just a tad shady, but i don't know.) Trying to figure out if it's still a good idea to "invest" time and money into a game that has been around this long. I've enjoyed my time so far (level 14) but i am unsure about what i'll be forced to pay for down the road. Going VIP for a month to loose some of the restrictions feel like a good start. Sorry i am rambling. Bottom line, as a new player, what is best to buy and when and where? [link] [comments] | ||

| Problem with downloading - can anyone help? Posted: 23 May 2020 06:22 AM PDT I have been trying to download LOTRO again (onto my windows 10 pc) but I'm having a persistent problem which I hope someone here can help with. I keep having an 'update error occurred' where the launcher says 'unable to decrypt and deserialize the data downloaded from the server'. The launcher then retries repeatedly but the same thing happens. Here's a screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/NIFgMXt Does anyone know how I can resolve this?
