Lore Master questions and rotation Posted: 24 May 2020 07:20 PM PDT Can anyone link for me or break down for me the basic skill rotation for a LM in solo PvE? Also, which pet would be best? I tried a Google search but everything I found is from years ago. I'm not sure which trait line is best. I prefer straight DPS. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 May 2020 01:12 AM PDT Merry do everyone! Was wondering if any LOTRO fashion experts knew of early game gear to blend in with the rangers you meet in Breeland & Evendim. Doesn't have to be perfect, just inspired. I checked out some LOTRO cosmetic blogs and they are very inspirational but all the gear seems to be obtained at very high level or using expansions I've not yet obtained. [link] [comments]
Old returnee! Should I reroll or chug on? Posted: 24 May 2020 09:23 AM PDT Hello good folk! I'm a merry chap that decided to return after a prolong absence of... 13-14 years (yikes!). :) The game is wastly different to say the least, lol! I'm not sure if I should continue my old and true lore master of lvl 33 or re-roll? I've read the books and I know the lore there but I've completely forgot the story up to around my level... And if I do on what (EU) server could this socially dependant chap find a kinship to call home? :D [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2020 05:25 PM PDT I've never played lotro before but i know and love lotr. I have been doing research and I think i would like to start on the legacy server (i know it requires sub) but how is the population and are peopling still doing lower level content? [link] [comments]
Looking for a Kinship (Brandywine) Posted: 24 May 2020 07:35 PM PDT I am am a returning player from the olden days of lotro looking for a new Kinship. I'm a casual player in my 20s and my main is a lvl 80 LM. I'm looking for a kin that is quite active on raids and instances and has some members around my age group. Any suggestions out there? Posted: 24 May 2020 04:43 AM PDT Hi all, I'm a new player to LOTRO. I'm currently looking for a good kinship to join as I want to enjoy all aspects of the game. Are there any active kinships on any active EU servers I can join? [link] [comments]
Trying to pick between Warden and Beorning Posted: 24 May 2020 08:49 AM PDT I'm trying to pick between a Beorning and a Warden. I haven't played in a long time so I'm not sure how either class plays at the end. I've played a Beorning a little who is now 15 and it seems fun so far and I haven't played the Warden since Moria. Can anyone share their experiences with either class and how they play and function endgame and how well they perform what roles? I've seen stuff in the Beorning that has them all over the place (from hot garbage to good) but I'm assuming that is due to the revamp the class received as. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2020 02:57 PM PDT Which is easier to play for solo PvE, LM or burg? Is there even such thing as a complex class for solo questing these days? I'm trying to keep things fun and simple. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2020 05:00 PM PDT Hi Everyone, I am a returning player and I just passed level 100 on my main. I just wanted to ask what is the best way to level at this point? I'm still interested in playing through the story so I don't want to just grind instanced. I appreciate any advice people can give! Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2020 04:43 PM PDT Hello! On Landroval there is musical mentoring each Monday evening at Ales & Tales. Is there a similar event on Crickhollow? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Best Solo or Duo Class for leveling and a some skirmishing / instances Posted: 24 May 2020 11:47 AM PDT Hey guys, my wife and I are coming back to LOTRO after a couple years of being away. We plan on finishing content on our main characters (Hunter/Captain) but wanted to start fresh with a new combo. She will be playing a minstrel and I want something that will be fun solo and still go well with her Minstrel. I've narrowed it down to 3. Please help me decide and vote! [link] [comments]
Server decisions before transfer over Posted: 24 May 2020 03:11 PM PDT Hello everyone, I am currently a Brandywine player seeking input on whether or not I should server swap. I took a long hiatus from the game, and recently learnt they merged with the Russian servers. Albeit I like having population, I don't like having half my chat unreadable. Should I consider swapping my 9 characters to Arkenstone or Gladden? Are the populations there better? I play about all hours of the day but recently have been playing well past midnight. I was also wondering how long the transfers would take, and if anyone had any issues in getting them over! [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2020 12:48 PM PDT A friend and I used to play LOTRO together. Because of the pandemic, we decided to return to the game. My friend was able to install the game, but the update would always freezes at 55%. She then emailed Standing Stone Customer Support. They told her to delete all files from the Lord of the Rings Online installation folder with a dat or datx file type and to repair the files if that didn't help. She followed both of these steps, but they didn't solve the problem. In addition to following those instructions, she has deleted and reinstalled the game, both from Steam and from LOTRO's website, has turned off her firewall when updating the game, and has run the launcher in compatibility mode. And still the update freezes at 55%. Do you all have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? She has an Asus Vivobook 15 with an i5-8265U CPU, a UHD Graphics 620 integrated GPU, and 8GB of RAM.
