| Why is the voice acting so bad at times? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:29 PM PDT I'm finishing up the battles of Minas Tirith- the actual battle, and the voice acting at times in this is so horrendous... it utterly kills the incredible job that they did animating it and bringing the battle to life. The atmosphere, the story... they did a great job. It's one of the most emotional parts of the books... And then it's killed, almost hysterically, laughingly bad, with the atrocious voice acting. Theoden and Eowyn in particular. Just flat, poorly delivered, no emotion. I can't even comprehend how someone can deliver a line so badly. We're still mocking Eomer's "Death... Death... Death..." line that is delivered like trying to make an echo tunnel like a stiff ghost with no retakes... I love this game, and so much of it is incredible. Which really makes this stand out as to how poor it is. [link] [comments] | ||

| My ideas (rambling) to make new LOTR MMO Amazing Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:26 PM PDT What would be sick, is if they made the mythical weapons/gear from LOTR lore (such as the rings, swords, etc) 1-off items that first need to be found via extreme random luck or impossibly hard quests, but they can't be destroyed... if you die with one you lose it and some lucky bastard loots it from your body/finds it where you died. When one is dropped there should be a beam of light that shoots up into the sky to let anyone nearby know that a legendary weapon of lore is nearby, and a race to get there first and fight others off for this weapon begins. They should make you crazy OP when wielded but you can be killed by sheer numbers, someone of equal/better strength/gear/skill or just bad luck (game crashes, severe lag). That'd then be one of the end-game goals, to acquire one of the mythical weapons (of course the 1 ring stands above the rest) and rule with it for as long as you can... though if you have one and you don't login to play for a certain amount of time -- it'll be despawned from you and placed back into Middle Earth somewhere for the hunt to start again (some kind of tracking system to know who has what would be good). Also no fucking level requirements to wield the gear. You could be some noob that just started and by some miraculous chance you stumble on a corpse with a mythical weapon on it. You wield that bad boy and have just fast tracked yourself to being a god damned BEAST not to be toyed with. Someone wielding a mythical piece of gear should be glowing like the motherfucking aurora borealis so that it's obvious they're a boss lord and you should run the other way or get on your knees and beg for mercy. Mythical gear wielders can choose to use their godly powers to rule Middle Earth however they want... but be wary that if they do so with evil intent, they may cause a mass uprising of lesser warriors that unite in order to take the bastards down (queue the epic wars/battles). The game should be sandbox in this way and let the player's hunger/greed for power/balance/peace dominate the narrative of the game... apart from some basic story telling and lot's of lore -- keep the themepark/story telling elements out of it (other than perhaps beginning/tutorial phase) and make it hardcore, predominantly open PVP with some safe zone areas. Do these things and it will be the one MMO to rule them all! [link] [comments] | ||

| Where is my copper coin going? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:20 AM PDT My wallet seems to always say I have around 70 copper coins even though I sell things that should be worth like 120 and just completed a quest I should have got 90 for. I just made level 105 and it feels like I would be level 110 by the time I finished getting all the physical mastery essences I see in the hunter builds. Along those lines, would the Dol Amroth class set be better for someone in my situation? Finally, does it matter much if I just slot major essences and play through? [link] [comments] |
