Finding people to run old instances with - Laurelin Posted: 19 Mar 2021 02:13 AM PDT Hey everyone, I've been playing the game on and off for years over on the Laurelin server, and recently made a character with the intent of combing through every region in order and doing all of the quests and deeds etc. One issue that I'm running into is that I'd really like to experience all of the Instances and Raids where they make sense in the story - for example, doing the Barrow-Downs ones when I get the overworld quests that relate to them. So far, I've found that as a Beorning I can solo most Fellowship-scale content even on level (Encouraging Roar is possibly too good), however Raids are obviously beyond me and I know that a solid chunk of instances require multiple people to pull levels or press buttons or whatever. The instance finder and lff don't really help with this - I think people are (understandably) not too keen on grouping with a level twentysomething for a Tier 1 instance, and many of the older ones just don't seem to get run at all. Is there a guild or something on Laurelin that could potentially help with this? Or anything else I can try? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Are the Angmarim Black Númenóreans? or are they Middle Men? Posted: 18 Mar 2021 10:29 AM PDT Is it ever explicitly stated that yes or no about the Angmarim's relation to the Black NĆŗmenĆ³reans? Also how friendly to the lore are the Angmarim? [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Mar 2021 01:52 PM PDT Hello, after playing this game on and off since beta, I have finally made it past Moria. But now I am confused. I have quests for Volume III and Rise of Isengard. Both for level 65, which is what I'm at. Is one supposed to be done before the other? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Is the lord of the rings experience worth the play-through? Posted: 18 Mar 2021 09:36 PM PDT I have the MMO I love and maybe I will love this one too but I want to play it purely to enjoy LOTR moments? Do you think it would be worth playing for that alone? Time spent on the character to play all these different things possible and money spent? How long does it take to reach max? Or start doing some of the great content? I also just want to play Gimli can you tell me what class would be best for that? Wielding a dope axe [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Mar 2021 12:39 PM PDT So how many star lit crystals does it currently take to max out an imbued legendary item? The wiki isn't particularly helpful ("The maximum number of crystals which can be applied to an imbued legacy item depends on the current update.") and since they're farmable from the spring event I'm curious how many I should get. Posted: 18 Mar 2021 08:52 AM PDT Hello there, its me again with another question š After a year long hiatus I returned and went right back into the game where I found myself being challenged by the imbuement system... I believe I've got the hang of it now, maxed out my weapons, imbued them and now I'm on the journey of leveling them. So far so good. I then went right to minas tirith, worked on my reputation for a couple of days (as I had skipped them before) and did the dailies to get my hands on those sweet Silver Coins.....only to find out that I apparently can't trade them for the Anfalas scrolls of empowerment. I read a while back that they changed the LI system somewhat, but didn't care to read myself into it at that time and honestly barely understand to this day :D Am I missing something or do the dailies in minas tirith don't work that way anymore? My guess would be that I would have to run the minas morgue dailies in order get the anfalas scrolls but I can't find anything that supports or neglects that suspicion of mine š¤ So yeah, if anyone that's familiar with the LI chaos could give me a heads up on what to focus on, that would be great :) [link] [comments]

Is it okay to make a dwarf champion? (March 2021) Posted: 18 Mar 2021 06:29 PM PDT Hi folks, I'm thinking of making a champion alt, and dwarves are my favourite LOTR race, but I've heard that apparently they don't make good champions in this game because their animations are buggy/slow which makes them less effective? So if I were to make a dwarf champion, would that be frowned upon/be less desirable for endgame content? Would getting into endgame groups become a problem just for being a dwarf champion? I've heard high elves or man is the best race for champions, but I don't quite want to buy the high elf or make another man character right now (my main is a man guardian). Would appreciate any advice - thanks! :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Mar 2021 07:34 AM PDT I've bounced around on characters trying the find the one and i prefer to play tankier characters. Mostly because i get distracted and i don't wanna be splattered all over the road because i looked away for a second. So i was thinking guardian might be neat. So far i've tried Captain, Bear, and Rune-keeper. I cant recall what line i used for bear but i was yellow on RK and red on Captain. Wasn't using a two hander though, not sure why. Haven't played in a good 6 months. So i'm curious, how does Guard compare to captain when soloing out in the world? Elites and the like. The thing i remember disliking about captain is while i didn't really die much, it also took forever to kill anything, especially if i got 3 or 4 mobs. I read the other day while debating if i wanted to try lotro again, the guard can pull whole camps and just aoe / burn em down. Sounds neat if it works. That was something enjoyed about the protection warrior back in WoW, during WoD and legion. However, if it takes 20 minutes to kill a pack that might be tedious. I was also wondering, does guardian have any kind of distance / gap closer? (Warrior charge in wow, or in FF14 most of the tank classes have one now.) Thanks. [link] [comments]
Most useful crafting vocation, if any? (Guardian main, March 2021) Posted: 18 Mar 2021 04:05 AM PDT Hi folks, Just wondering what the most useful crafting vocation is at the moment, if any? I'm more interested in equipping my character(s) with good gear, rather than making gold, if that helps. I just came back to LOTRO after a long absence since 2009 - back in those days my main was an Armourer (Champion) which turned out to be mostly a waste since the best armor set was obtained from Moria instances and raids and couldn't be crafted. Jewelers were still very useful though. I'm currently maining a Guardian and can't pick between Tinker/Jeweller or Armourer. Any thoughts are welcome - thanks! :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Mar 2021 04:34 AM PDT Just started playing a week ago. I have a level 21 Champion. Can anyone link a Greatsword build or skill rotation viable for solo questing. Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Mar 2021 03:23 AM PDT I just got a legacy tier upgrade from hobbit gifts, what is it compared to say a SoE? Not much on it on LOTRO wiki [link] [comments] |
