    21:9 3440x1440 UI Mods?

    I'm really curious about any mods out there that can help with UI for an ultrawide monitor. I think all the windows and hot bar are scaleable but, txt is the real problem. I can't read a damn thing hahah! Anyone have any insight?

    Playing after Level 30?

    Hello everyone!

    With the quarantine going on, my girlfriend and I decided to give this game a try. We're in the 20s right now, and I'm worried about spending as little money as possible (due to work lay-offs mostly). I'm willing to buy the quad expansion as I've found them for pretty cheap on some steam key style places. However, it looks like the earlier expansion is at level 50 in that pack. How can I manage to play those if I'm capped at level 30?

    Some guidance would be awesome and I'd love to find a way to play past 30. It's fun as hell and really hitting the spot for us. Thanks for the read!

    Why is the End-Game Culture (Raiding) so Exclusive?

    I want to preface by saying this isn't a call out post or something, just a game design thing I've been curious about lately: why is the LOTRO end-game community fairly exclusive and unfriendly to new players? Giving basic instructions is often too much to ask for raid groups, and people quit PUGs after only a wipe or two. Getting into a raid if you are not in a raiding kinship can be pretty difficult. In general, its extremely difficult for a new player to enter into raiding at the current juncture. What about the game, in your opinion, causes this?

    For my two cents, I think it's the number of systems (LIs, Virtues, lengthy gear grinds, builds, and so on) creating a fairly bipolar community skill-wise, matched with raids that are surprisingly difficult and role-demanding (melee DPS being less optimal, and so on). This creates a culture in which players are suspicious of each other, and unwilling to PUG.

    I've been playing since launch, and I don't remember it being this bad in SoA or MoM—pugging Rift and the Watcher/DN was not super rare, and plenty of casual kinships tried it. It seems to me, starting with Mirkwood/OD and up, the culture started to shift. What are other people's experiences with end-game culture?

    Lotro and Motion Sickness

    I've been playing MMOs with the same group of friends for many years now. We've all played and enjoyed lotro, however, one of my friends experiences a lot of motion sickness when playing lotro. I believe her issue is related to the specific way the camera blurs when moving as she's fine when her character stands still, but I'm not sure.

    Now that everything is open until April 30th, I'm hoping to get her back into the game. Does anyone have any advice for ways to reduce her motion sickness?

    Different play styles (avoiding mounted combat), or graphical settings?

    I played at launch and lasted for until Moria hit. I was a kid and don't remember much... anyway I'm back!

    I noticed there are a LOT of things to buy on the store. I want to have access to everything (expansions and races) and I don't know how to efficiently purchase that.

    Mount: "this item can only be used once per character" means...what exactly?

    New here, so sorry for this "dumb" question. That said, I find the statement quoted in the title somewhat confusing:

    This item can only be used once per character.

    Ok...I only need it once per character. But can it be used on more than one character?

    Best gear at 130

    What's atm the best way to get raid-ready gear? I mean every way except doing raids (I get turned down now and then). I see the possibilities are:

    -Embers (which instances then, cus there are so many and they have to be T3 or up to unlock the good gear?) -(Guild)craft? - a combination of said options?

    Am I missing something?

    What race or vocation should I pick?

    I have a level 30 loremaster, but since I was dumb when I made it I lost track of which quest was the main one and what i had to do, on top of that my crafting skills are super low, so I feel like i left that character unplayable.

    I wanted to ask which vocation or race should I pick if i like to play mostly solo except for when I do need a team for specific situations.

    I like a lot the guardian, the ministrel and the champion but I dont really know how to use them. Any advice?

    I was wondering how that is supposed to work with Spring Festival and Myrtle Mint and all. Seems it doesn't :D

    All characters gone.

    I have not played the game for 4 years now. I used to play it alot, and I have used a lot of money on the game.

    I wanted to return to the game now it was free (and I am self isolating), but I discovered that all my characters was gone. I contacted the developers about the problem, and I was told, that my old server was closed and that they wouldn't transfer my characters to a new server.

    I find this type of answer unacceptable. Old characters should be able to transfer to new servers without problems. How can they run a game and ear money, if they piss on old players like this. I don't think the game will last much longer with this kind of support. No One will use money on a game with no support.

    How to server transfer?

    Good day, lads. I am a new player to the game and I started my character on a German server, Gwaihir. I couldn't play much with other players because...well...I don't speak their language. Is there a way for me to transfer servers?

    I heard that there is a cost for transferring servers, and I would gladly dedicate some time to that, just in order to play with other players.

    I also heard that server transfers are down? I have searched this on youtube and it shows a transfer button on the game client; I don't have that. I have also taken a look at the LotRO forums and the last discussion on this topic was last year, October of 2019.

    Can a good lad help me out? I would really like to experience playing the game with other players. Thank you!
