    Instances available while leveling?

    Hey guys,

    for years and years I looked back full of nostalgia on my time playing Lotro on release. Stumbled upon some YouTube videos of the game and was positively surprised how amazing the landscapes in some areas looked. Then I saw the game is still active and might even get an overhaul (they should do it! Huge missed opportunity if they don't do it along with LOTR Amazon series).

    Whatever, decided to create a new account and was blown away by how good such an old game still looks (while being shocked that the interface is 1:1 from 2007 or something, including the scaling)! Still plan on slowly leveling my way to max, don't care if I have to spend some money here and there.

    So I heard the leveling instances (3 and 6 Fellowship dungeons) are quite barren, but one might have some success in the LFF channel. Any experiences here? Can you actually find players for leveling content in LFF? In the human starter area, the game looked quite active!

    I'm playing on EU-Evernight and I'm leveling a champion. Really would like to experience at least some of the old dungeons. If no one wants to join, can you actually solo this stuff? If yes, up to what level? I guess difficulty is not a huge issue, since I was a "cutting edge" raider in WoW for quite a few years (looking for a completely different experience in Lotro). Question is, if it is even POSSIBLE to solo some stuff.

    Returning Moria player stuck choosing between Treebeard and a regular server

    First of all, I love this game. I last played during Moria when I was much younger. I leveled 1-20 on Treebeard this weekend.

    As I never experienced any content post-Moria, the concept of playing on Treebeard to experience the expansions naturally would be my preference, but I have concerns with population - I've read about other legendary servers eventually falling over population wise when they reach expansions that were not as popular. It would also be nice to experience a slightly busier world on a larger server like Evernight for example.

    I'd find it quite disappointing if I invested 6-12 months in my character for the server to then collapse, unless transfers off of Treebeard to live servers were guaranteed (I'm not sure if they will be?)

    I've really been enjoying being able to tweak landscape difficulty to Deadly on Treebeard and I enjoy the slower leveling experience.

    Do you think I should instead start on a regular server and level that way? I'd like to hear some thoughts and advice from players who have been in a similar boat or who have experience with both types of servers.

    Treebeard level 15, where to level?

    My Epic Quest brought me to Bree and then to Strider, eventually I was lead to Thornley's Farm and the Sweetgrass Farm and the guy trying to build an Inn on the road. I have been doing a bunch of orc focused killing quests and they are all like level 17-19 as well as the quests themselves.

    The quest chain is called My Brethren's Call - and Orc Out-Riders is one of those quests.. just a bit high for me I feel. I'm happy to do them if the XP is better...?

    Its do-able but my time to kill etc has gone up drastically. I know there must be a hub closer to my level of 15-16. IF SO can you please tell me where to go exactly and/or who to talk to. Once I hit level 17+ I can resume all of these or quests.

    Playing in 2021

    hey guys, I remembered playing this game back when i was really young and i remember it being pretty fun. As a LOTR fan i was wondering if this game would be worth playing today. this is coming from someone who enjoyed WOW, FF14, ESO, and New World. Was also wondering what the game is life for F2P players, and if leveling was also still fun and if i could catch up with everyone else.

    How does this game compare to EQ?

    I've played a fair amount of EQ/P99 over the years and was thinking about trying out LOTRO. I'm curious how this game compares to EQ. Is grouping a focus of the game during the leveling process or it mostly end game focused like WOW? Are their any low level characters still running around?

    I know there are progression servers and in the case of EQ those were a breath of fresh air for people who weren't all about end game content.

    Character transfer

    Is there anything I need to know about the character transfer? I chose the Landroval server because I'd heard good things, but that's a US server and I'm in Scotland, and I've noticed some lag happening from time to time. So, I'm thinking of switching my main over to an EU server.

    Will his inventory and cosmetic presets be carried over? And do I need to pay anything for a transfer?

    Battle for Deep-Way ?

    Sorry for the noobness of this question but I cannot start this quest to save my life! I am a lvl 59 champ and when I go to the instance finder and to the skirmish tab, the only quest available is the "Defence of the Prancing Pony" I have spoken to bosi and he has asked me to help the 3 dwarves, I am in front of Brogur and accepted the quest but again when I open the instance finder, the quest "battle for deep helm" is not available. Thank you all for the help!

    Questions on leveling on the Treebeard Server

    I am very close to level 14, I have just gotten the quest from Strider to talk to Lenglinn near Buckland.

    I did a ton of quests in Ered Luin and leveled up, and then I went through the Shire and noticed everything was way way under my level (xp clearly not worth the time) and it was suggested I skip it. I have found Bree land to be similar (very low level quests). As far as leveling in Treebeard should I just follow the Epic Quests until I come to a hub around my level.

    Is there a kind of "guide" for leveling spots.

    I am at the default 40% XP as well.

    Which Legendary Server?

    I'm looking at coming back to play and I see there are two new legendary servers.

    Shadowfax being quicker and Treebeard being slower.

    How are the populations on these servers?
    Would I be better of hopping on an older server, like Landroval?

    Any info is appreciated!

    What quest pack/expansion are highest value for price after Eriador bundle/lvl 50?

    So my gf and I usually play together but I also play a lot of solo. She got VIP this month while I am not (anymore) and got the Eriador bundle instead and we are both around lvl 53.

    So what would be the best buy/best experience we could go for? And when is it worth, if at all, to go for a whole expansion instead of a questpack (e.g. for Moria this is a difference of over a 1000 LP)? We basically exclusively play solo resp. duo.

    Also, anyone knows when LOTRO-points will be on sale next time?

    Hey Folks,

    I played LotRO a while ago... like 2013. Had a lifetime account but after reinstalling the game I can't log in, due to I fogot my password. The real problem is: I deleted the registration E-Mail address like 4 or 5 years ago.
