I'll preface this by saying I'm a WoW refugee, I quit after feeling that the game was no longer satisfying and the Activision-Blizzard lawsuit really sealed my decision to quit. That being said, I needed a new MMO to play and I remember always seeing LoTRO on various MMO sites as a kid and I decided to give it a shot after all those years. I must say, this game is awesome. Definitely different feel than WoW but I'm enjoying the quests and the world is beautiful (I mean it is Middle-Earth after all). Still a huge noob but I love learning the new stuff. Any tips for a newcomer? Glad to be a part of this community!

I'm playing LOTRO again for the first time in about a year. My question is which servers have the healthiest populations and where can I check this? I'm playing in the UK if that helps

That party horse teleport

Ugh.

I was in Duillond, and I'd just used my fast-travel map. I was going to take a horse to my next destination, but accidentally clicked that damn party horse, which was right next to the regular horse, and got immediately teleported to some damn party way inside the Shire. And my only way back was to either walk, or wait for my fast-travel to recharge.

Did I overlook something, or do I have every right to be irritated?

Is there a way to view the videos with subtitles?

I'm profoundly deaf, so the i don't really know what's being said in the in game videos and subtitles don't seem to be an option in game. So, I'd like to be able to rewatch the videos with subs if possible?

So far I've only seen the intro and the ones concerning the hobbits up to bree. I get the gist of it, but still, knowing what's being said would be fab. 😊

Understanding raid lockouts

I've never done much group content but am getting into it finally but I'm having a hard time grasping the raid lockouts. I've been doing Stairs and I see the lockouts on the tab but am not sure how the timers work. Can anybody break it down in a for dummies way or point me to a link that explains it in a simple manner.

I kind of wish I'd asked this sooner, but...

I'm playing an Elf, and during that whole starting area stuff with the Dwarves I happened to notice a bedroll. I used it, and got treated to that vision-visit from Galadriel.

I just wanted to know if there are more of these to be found, and if they are easily overlooked. I don't want to miss out on story content.
