    How desired is every class?

    Posted: 18 May 2021 11:06 AM PDT

    Hello everyone,

I've recently downloaded lotro again and have been trying out the different base classes to see what would suit me. I've basically played every base class(so no Beorning, Rune-keeper and Warden) to 15. My problem now is that I like every class, except Burglar and can't really decide what to play now.

I don't have any preference when it comes to tanking, healing, supporting or dealing damage, because I enjoy all of it, which makes this even more difficult now.

I enjoy group play and would therefore prefer to play a class that's desired/needed for group play(ideally during leveling and max level).

Could anyone give me a rundown of how desired/needed each base class(except Burglar) is and why they're usually desired/needed. Would help me a lot in deciding what to play and I would really appreciate it.

Took the wrong turn and ended up in a galaxy far, far away...but I gotta say that I love the aesthetics (not the shabby bear form model/textures tho ^^).

Trying to get into the game, what are your thoughts on it currently?

    Posted: 18 May 2021 06:22 PM PDT

Hey, I've been playing this game on and off for a while now, but now I'm in it for good, and I wanted to know how you think the game is. I really like the old MMO aesthetic and the gameplay it has, you can't get that in a lot of MMOs nowadays, so I'm going to play it regardless of any opinions, but I wanted to know what you guys think of the game nonetheless, as it's a great gauge to know how the community is doing and the longevity I can expect to experience in the game.

So, what are your thoughts on it? Is it dying? Vibrantly alive? Somewhere in between? Neither? Let's talk.

Is there anywhere I can see the list or drop table? I got the Wreck of the Thorovol when I ran it the other day which is cool but I'm wondering what else is available. The wiki doesn't have them :(

    Which Healer to pick

    Posted: 18 May 2021 04:37 PM PDT

Hello Guys, I am looking for a bit of help :D

I came back to LOTRO with a few of my friends cos we kinda lost taste of wow semi-hardcore raiding…

I can't decide what class to play in LOTRO… Looking for a healer mainly. What caught my eye is/was RK, but I read that he is the best HPS throughput healer, but not favorite for pick in raids which kinda doesn't make sense to me.

I get that BUFFs and DEBUFFs are a thing here, but from my previous experiences stacking healer class in a raid is not the best choice to make a good setup and there are lots of Minstrels out there xD

Beorn looks fun to play, but the form swapping can be a bit odd with the occasional server lags and the delay on the spell, plus I remembered some time ago Beorn was completely unplayable so IDK if that is a safe choice…

Also is there any option to get some data like in wow from warcraftlogs.com ?

I would like to know how far better is the HPS of RK compared to others… Also, some comparison when is minstrel and beorn in group vs minstrel and RK for example, how good is the DPS of the group overall.
Is it even possible to get with RK into raid? Not looking for some casual/social raiding party :D where you can bring whatever… Looking for something challenging .. Thank you guys :D

    A New Direction?

    Posted: 18 May 2021 01:48 PM PDT

I recently read that the Amazon MMO for a different age of middle earth tanked. But with this news, I'm not so sure they've just adjusted fire and may be coming for LOTRO's arena. If anyone knows of legal reasons they can't, I'd love to hear them. The news:
