    Fiddles

    Posted: 22 Mar 2021 11:47 PM PDT

Have a question for all the old hands out there; I've dabbled in the game off and on for over ten years now, and I main a minstrel so I know some of the ins and outs of the class. I've assembled a motley array of instruments I thought looked cool, from my battle-bagpipes someone was nice enough to gift me with to my trusty Misty Mountain Harp that's still in my primary cosmetic outfit after at least seven years. I've found them in odd places and have seen a couple fiddles come across the festival vendors for a couple different events, and grabbed them for curiosity's sake.

Well, my wife who mains an Elf loremaster decided she wanted to make a Hobbit minstrel as an alt, partially because we wanted to goof about with friends using the music system and it's a lot easier to form a band when you can play anything instead of only three or four instruments (my main is slowly tutoring her loremaster in others but it takes a bit) and partially because whatever misadventures we find ourselves on usually benefit if we have some heals. She got the Lonely Mountain Fiddle from the Spring vendor and liked it, so I got the Sprightly fiddle and gave it to her as a gift. Then she decided we should go on an adventure to find all the different fiddles she could collect.

That got us as far as my vault on my main where I had a Traveler's Trusty Fiddle from the anniversary and the Bard of Bree who had the Student and Basic fiddles. But that's where it kind of dried up; the wiki lists some super-high-level crafted fiddles and the normal instruments we already have, plus the festival ones.

Are there any others, and do they look or sound different like the ones we've found? Are there any that have different damage types (like the Westernesse Lute from Bree does)? Are there other instruments that have different sounds and appearances, like the Lute of Ages versus the basic one? We're kinda falling down a rabbit hole here but it's awkward without reading dozens of entries in the wiki to find out how many different fiddles there are. So I figured I'd ask.

    Thanks!

    Guardian leveling with valar 120

    Posted: 22 Mar 2021 04:15 PM PDT

    Hey guys,

I'm a returning player, played lotro to about 104ish on my champion few years back. I just got one of the expansions that gave me a valar 120 boost which I used on my guardian (I've played a guardian to about 65 before so I didn't feel like finishing that). My questions are: 1. I plan on tanking at 130, what's the painless way to get to 130? Can I play yellow/red to get to 130? 2. the boost gave me some imbued LIs/virtue XPs, how relevant are the items I get with the boost? Can I level with them or am I better off leveling my own LIs? 3. is there a specific area I should quest/focus on so i can make the 130 grind a bit easier in terms of rep/tokens etc?

Many of you already know my series "Walk Through", which is the painting where I explore a map of the Middle Earth in its smallest details, I record and post it for everyone's pleasure. And also those who do not know, what should be the next map to be explored and recorded?

New player looking for some direction

    Posted: 22 Mar 2021 08:33 AM PDT

    Hello everyone.

I am a pretty experienced MMO player, usually going for the pvp type of games. I want to try something more relaxed, and I am a fan of the universe Tolkien created.
I know pvp here is not really a thing.
That being said, I would like to know:

    1. What is the best server for a EU player. I would prefer a populated one where I can actually see people play, given the age of the game. I currently play on Evernight ( level 7 )

    2. Is Lore Master a good solo class? I went with the blue talents, but again, I am very low level. I really like complex classes, with many buttons and a versatile "rotation". I thought Lore Master would be that.

    3. I looked around the official site's forums for info, and all the recent topics are depressing in their tone. Lots of people say the money is a cash grab, that you can't gear or play end-game without spending lots of money and so on. Seems that many view the state of the game in a very blighted way. Is it worth it for someone like me, who is totally new, to put in the effort, given these circumstances?

    4. Is the lag that bad? I keep reading about lag. Also, if EU servers are in the US, why even bother playing on a EU labelled server?

    Thank you in advance!

Looking for a roleplaying guild / or at least an active homestead in Laurelin

    Posted: 22 Mar 2021 10:53 AM PDT

Hi! I am looking for a roleplaying guild in Laurelin. It could be RP heavy or RP light. I would prefer if it has a theme that would fit my main but at this point, I am also okay with just an active and friendly community. I am also looking for a homestead that is active, with people RP'ing in it from time to time and at least with people going in and out so you don't feel so lonely. I would prefer Bree homestead which is more fitting to my main but I guess anything can do.

Myself: I actively play tabletop RPG and especially love the One Ring RPG if there are others here who play. My main is a Champion from Gondor but he is currently in Eriador, mostly helping out the Arnor remnants such as the Rangers of the North and Wardens of Annuminas.

I’ve been having a lot of technical difficulties with the game. I decided to uninstall and then reinstall the game, but when I try to re download it again I get this message
