    RIP Kindred Spirits [Arkenstone]

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 07:42 PM PST

Sad to see this great Kin sail away into the west, but all such things must pass. I was only a member for the last year or two, and mostly a solo player, but I wanted to publicly thank the leaders of the Kin for their welcoming spirit and helping me in all the ways they have. Farewell to you, Kindred Spirits.

    New player kin question

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 02:20 PM PST

Hi, I'm new to LOTRO and generally MMO RPGs. I'm wandering how important it is to join a kin? I'm at lvl 22 and really enjoying solo play. What are the pros of joining a kin and how do you find one that fits your preferences?

Hello, New here and havnt played or bought anything from SSG before. I just bought the Minas Morgul expansion and yet I don't seem to have immediate access to it or the stuff that comes with it? Is this normal and to be expected?

    Exp Halting

    Posted: 22 Nov 2020 12:37 AM PST

    Hey all,

I see a lot of people mentioning they buy some stone from the store to stop experience gain to finish quests in an area or if you're VIP you level too fast and out level the quest.

Can you not do quests once you reach a certain level? I'd also like to do all the quests in each area, I just don't understand the benefit of using a stone that prevents XP unless you physically can't do/see the quests at a certain level.

    Skill interplay - Warden

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 02:29 PM PST

Howdy! I've been playing LM only (level 39 now) but if I'm being honest I find the skills while very flavorful, pretty boring for landscape solo content. I love the flare and flavor of warden, but I'm curious how their skill interplay feels? I know the gambits system makes a little meta game out of remembering what to hit when but I'm curious if folks find the combat interesting? I'm coming from WoW and FFXIV where I am seeing a lot of interesting rotation/interplay stuff that makes combat fun - curious how that appears for the warden (and the champ for another matter, the other alt I am eyeing)

    Thanks!

    A glitch in Sarnúr Keep?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 12:39 PM PST

I have some old hunter quests in SarnĆŗr Keep that I tried to complete again today, but I've never been able to do them because as soon as I enter the keep, I can't kill anything. Right outside the keep in SarnĆŗr I have no problem killing anything, but when I try to fight something inside the keep, its morale literally stays at 100% the whole time. At this point, I'm about ten levels higher than the quests, so it's not like anything in there is just too difficult for me. I've been coming back to these quests for a while, hoping that this glitch would be fixed at some point, but obviously it hasn't been.

Has anybody else had this issue? Any advice on how to get it fixed? Thanks in advance!

    Imbued LI differences

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 10:21 AM PST

Let me preface this by saying I'm fairly casual and am not into the raids but do enjoy the regular group content, 3 and 6 man.

Is there a noticeable difference between third age and first age LI's once they're imbued and maxed out. My warden is 107 and I've never bothered with a FA since I'm in a kin with only one other person and neither of us has the guild rep to make LI's and I don't have the gold to buy on AH on the rare occasion that I see a FA for warden there. If it's a huge difference I'll save up and eventually get one but if not, I'm just going to imbue my third age and press on with Mordor. Thanks.

    Missable Breadcrumb/Vector Quests List?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 07:39 AM PST

Okay, so I am an extreme completionist who has nightmares when I miss even the smallest quest in a game. Is there a listing somewhere that shows you quests that can be easily missed? I just came into the Lone-lands and after questing a little, found that I am unable to accept "Forsaken and Forlorn" from Candaith, and "Word to Anlaf" from Sam Thistlebur since I have already visited and accepted quests from Anlaf in The Forsaken Inn. Gah! I thought I already picked up the only breadcrumb/vector quests in Bree-land! It seems there are multiple breadcrumb/vector quests taking you to an area, not counting the auto pop-up quests.

Anyone aware of any resources you may be able to provide where one has put together a comprehensive listing all of these missable quests? Thanks in advance!

    Linux Question

    Posted: 21 Nov 2020 07:25 AM PST

I am playing on Linux Manjaro using Steam Play. My computer specs are more than adequate. Is there anything others have done to tweak performance with this setup? Any tricks or tips.

    Thanks in advance
