been playing this game for a month now , finally reached weathertop , ive been playing with quite a few people who were always friendly and seemed eager to talk. i love this game and it has been quite a fun time till now :)) below is a photo of me on weather top and a friend i met online
The Eglain Token items look amazing, but seem like they’d be quite a time commitment to get and may not be worthwhile?

Hey guys I can't get the software to finish installing or load on two different macs. It just stops installing at the very end and stops responding. I heard it might be because OSX is 64bit... anyone running what I'm using and have any luck?

The dagger of the eglan soldier is far better than the mirrored gondorian dagger of combat I just critted, and also seems better than precise westernesse dagger that can be crafted at level 35.

But is it worth spending 2 days grinding eglain tokens? I don't know. Probably best to just keep moving forward.

Aussies of Middle Earth?

Hi all,

I used to play many moons ago, probably back in 2008/2009 I reckon. I was in a kin called Aussies of Middle Earth on Elendilmir (I think? It's been a minute). We had a freakin blast and did some pretty cool stuff particularly some server first raids around Mirkwood times.

Anyway with Covid I have time on my hands and was just seeing if any of the old guys are around still.

My characters were Dashor the Dwarf Champion and Dashele an elf LM. Would love to catch up if anyone is still around!

We are building a lovely little LOTRO community over at www.twitch.tv/propirate and it's been such a rewarding week playing through the story with all of you that have joined. We currently have 25 followers and would love to have more of you along!

Yesterday we played through the Ered-Luin Elfish Book Prologue and today we head to the Prancing Pony in Bree - to meet the Chieftain of the Dunedain Rangers, Strider, at the Prancing Pony. We have united the Elves and Dwarves of Ered-Luin to fight the common enemy - Skorgrim Dourhand, an evil Dwarf-Lord who was seeking immortality, but instead died. However... evil deeds are happening in Middle-Earth as he was resurrected by an evil Wight-Lord, Ivar the Blood-Hand. We have scuppered their plans in Ered-Luin... but a larger threat remains...

Join us on our adventure today - and bring a friend! As we playthrough LOTRO and talk LOTR lore, music and have a great time.

Is there a way to know when a house will become available?

Do houses become available only if the player doesn't pay their upkeep? Or is there a login time factor?

getting a friend into lotro.

I convinced a friend to download the game and would like advice on which race and class I recommend she play. I'd also like some input on how I can make the gameplay more fun for her.

For some context, neither one of us are THAT into MMOS ( I started playing the game two months ago for the Middle-earth aspect ) and we're less focused on instances and more on just having fun together while social distancing. She's never seen lotr either so I don't think taking her to see classic locations like the Shire or Rivendell would really matter. I'm thinking of recommending she play as a LM because she's a big animal lover though.

Anyway, thank you in advance for the advice ( I know this question is tricky to answer ) !

... why do people hate them?

I've been playing the game on and off for about ten years now and I remember really enjoying playing skrimishes, they were a nice little distraction, told a small coherent stroy and showed us familiar places in a new light.
They also offered some nice two-man-content.

So... why do people hate them and why were they (appaerntly) discontinued?

Were they not profitable (loot/exp/ect.) for the time invested? Or did people just hate them that much?

[I must ad that I've never tried the Epic Battle-thingy and I have no clue what it is and if it replaced Skrimishes (or if it's even stilla thing or has been discontinued aswell]
