Returning player, where would I be most needed?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 08:44 AM PST

First, I did look in the well detailed FAQ for my question, but did not find it.

I am returning to the game and would like to make a Dwarf, Guardian, Tank. Where would a fresh start character actually be most needed for both tank and professions (thinking jeweler, or armorer). I don't mind paying for the legacy server as this will be my primary MMO. Just tough to be a solo player and make your way in a very experienced realm.

    Appreciate the help!

    Edit: EST player.

    Expension

I see that you can buy some of the expension also in the lotro store, on the website Mordor gives also a valar. Will the same expension in the shop also give that, I don't see it in the description of the expension in the shop.

New to the Game, non-returning player.

Hello! I'm a huge lotr fan and looking to dip my toes into this game as it looks like your standard mmo but a lot more complex and a massive world.

I'm a long time mmo vet who tends to go all in when I play a game. Currently I'm trying a few things:

Deciding if I should play a live server or a legacy server. Deciding between Warden and Captain.

Right now I play warden and have been enjoying it but the draw for Captain Is there too. Are red like captains viable as dps? I know wardens are and tanking looks fun and challenging for a warden too.

    Thoughts?

Looking for a Job on Crick.

Title says it all, I'm sure there's a Subreddit for it? Or a discord? I'm a returning player with a 105 Cap, Champ, Hunter and my main, a Warden. I'd LOVE to get back into the game, but can't stand playing it by myself.

Edit: I meant kin. Didn't even see the autocorrect change that one. Ugh.

    Returning player quick question

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 09:55 AM PST

I'm burnt out on ESO and WoW. I played Lotro back at launch, but never really got anything to max.

I was looking at my account and I own: Game Version History Shadows of Angmar™ Standard Mines of Moria™ Standard Extra Character Slot

I'm apparently premium because I bought stuff (I never played through ANY of the content I bought) and I've read what that entails.

Here is my question. How far will I get leveling before I have to buy stuff? What exactly do those two expansions I paid for and never played include?

I plan to read quests, explore and take my time, but I am really curious how far I'll get with what I already own. I'm a broke individual.

    Bored

I started playing LOTRO like 3 months ago. But all these 3 months i just played solo to level 48 on my main character. Is there anyone on Evernight that needs help or can help me, it feels like i am playing a single player RPG like skyrim sometimes. I also tried to convince my friends to play LOTRO but they are too broke for the game content sadly.

What do you think about the games future?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 06:27 AM PST

I am about to drop some money into LOTRO because it is very enjoyable and I want to play as a High Elf. But I don't really want to invest if the game doesn't have a bright future.

Since its been going for years, do you think LOTRO can continue going strong into the future?

Also, as a side note, if I purchase 6 months VIP, do I get all the LOTRO points instantly or over the 6 months?

Thanks very much, you guys are an amazing community!

EDIT - Thanks very much guys, decided to take the plunge and am enjoying it.

    Issues with audio?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 01:16 PM PST

I hadn't played Lotro in a few months, so I after running some patches that had built up I was excited to get playing. However, as soon as I launch lotro my music cut out (I had been playing some music off Spotify while connectd to my bluetooth speaker) and the sound in the game stopped playing too. I'm definitely connectd to the right output for my bluetooth speaker in lotro's sound settings, as well as on my laptop's sound settings, so I can't quite figure out why my sound keeps turning off whenever I launch the game. Anyone had similar issues, and if so, how did you get around this?
