| Can you tell me which permanent and which non-permanent things I get with a subscription? Posted: 19 Feb 2020 10:08 AM PST I know that you get a permanent unlock for your wallet. I know you get some "free" lotro coins. I know you get access to areas, but as far as I understand you lose access to those areas and quests when your subscription ends. So what's the point then? You would either have to play 12 hours per day to complete all the areas you want, and you surely won't finish ALL the quests and stuff, so isn't buying it actually better? Renting stuff is meh. I like to play at my own pace. And I imagine renting would be more expensive in the long term. And finally, are there times when subscriptions are on sale? I wanna get 1 month or 3 months if I deem it worthwhile. But renting content isn't really how I roll, so "access" isn't really a plus for me, unless I can haxx around with that access and unlock some permanent stuff that I couldn't otherwise, or would have to farm a lot more or something. Funnily enough, financially I'm doomed right now so can't spend a penny anymore. I do have up to Mines of Moria and premium membership but don't know which server to pick and which class to play. Thinking of something interesting, with growth potential for me to enjoy working with. Something that can solo and won't be useless later on for group content. Don't wanna level up a useless dummy but I don't want a cookie cutter that's boring for the first 100 levels either. Appreciate suggestions and anyone reaching out to toss a few words at each other - highly restricted on time though. Maybe a couple hours a week availability to play. EDIT: I found http://lotrostats.gefallenehelden.de/eu.html which cleared up the server question. I also started on a Warden and noticed I have 9 different gift boxes, one for each year I spent "with" lotro. Should I open these right away or is there benefit to waiting? Are these one for each character or one time and burned. When opened do they give gifts for particular class I'm using? [link] [comments] | ||

I love the game and have a VIP subscription but whenever I login, things seem quiet with not as many people around as when I first started playing. Even Bree always seems like a ghost town. | Posted: 19 Feb 2020 06:55 AM PST I'm doing a bunch of dailies (Minas Tirith and Dol Amroth) and getting a bunch of scrolls for my LIs. What's the best way to get the crystals. Is it possible to 2-man (or even solo) the Pelennor instances and do they still drop there? I got some during the Yule festival and know I can get a few from whatever festival comes next. I haven't done any big battle stuff so starting from scratch with this toon would be difficult. I'm a level 130 Guardian with overall crappy gear but a good two-handed LI and a decent belt. The crystals are for the belt and my one-handed tanking axe. [link] [comments] | ||
