Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:01 AM PST Wow. Such a great story! I loved the big climax, and even though the final instance took me three attempts, it was so satisfying. Loved seeing Annatar/Antheron in the session play, that was really clever; and then the cutscenes between Narmeleth and Mordirith...great! Lovely to see Narmeleth get her redemption, and seeing Earnur finally go to his rest. Stoked for volume II! [link] [comments]
Do minstrel instruments make a difference or are they cosmetic? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 01:59 PM PST What is the best instrument for minstrel? Like, for what minstrel is usually used for- healing and buffing and stuff? What would be the main instrument of a minstrel if they are not cosmetic? Is VIP ever on sale or is it always the same price? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:38 AM PST Because if it's the same, might as well get it right now. If not, then I'll wait until april or whenever the anniversary is and there will probably be other discounts like extra bonus lotro points if you buy lotro points. Also , can I utilize my VIP status somehow to level my chars to level 20 so I can die in peace? Also, I should probably make all 7 characters and log in with them when VIP to get all the benefits, right? [link] [comments]
LOTRO Looking for a Kin on Landroval Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:42 AM PST I have been playing LOTRO for about 12 years now. I've been in several kins over that time, but find most of the ones I have joined don't have time for me. I have a level 102 Captain, named Theodenark on Landroval whom I'm trying to get into Minas Morgul with some help. I have some level 50+ toons as well; a Hunter, Guardian and Loremaster (/Scholar). There are other toons I play of lower levels from 18-30 or so. I'm just looking for a kin that is willing to support its members. I'm dying to blue level quests in Gondor all the time and cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm 52 IRL, and would love to join a new kin if anyone is interested. Thanks for the consideration. Are there any Minas Morgul instance guides? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:51 AM PST Hey! I've recently returned to lotro after being away for about 5 years. I've been trying to find guides for the new end game content. Specifically tanking the 3-6 mans. Back when I used to play there were always guides for end game content. I haven't been able to find any. Does anyone have any links? [link] [comments]
Help me choose classes and races for my remaining 3 slots before I get VIP. Posted: 20 Feb 2020 11:11 AM PST I wanna make all my 7 chars before I get VIP, so they all get all the full benefits. But deciding is hard. So here it goes:
So yea, I dunno. Beorning - solo class, not interested that much in being a bear. Want viable raid classes and min max, while being lore-friendly Burglar - I would like hobbit, but hobbit isn't the best option min-max-wise. Sad. Champion - people say it sucks, I used it for farming, kinda meh. I already have man and dwarf, so whatever. I'll pick it if people need it in raids Minstrel - peopel need it in raids, so I want it. BUT. The elf is the best fit for it because they are merry and have magic. Hobbits are also merry, but they don't have magic, and we would have to pretend that their power of music is being metaphoric in boosting other people and damaging foes. I'm not really digging it, especially since their hands are shining. On the other hand, High-elves are also elves, but they are old and grumpy and srs, and being merry doesn't fit them. So that sucks on that level. I mean, how many high elves are there still in the world? What are the chances that one would be so crazy to just go around and play music all the time? The only example of such a high-elf would be Gildor Inglorion, but it's a stretch really. Rune-Keeper - I don't really want one unless it is a high-elf because people were saying how great of a fit it is for dwarf or stout axe, and that's really not lore-friendly as far as I see it, so meh. Warden - it seems cool, cosplaying as strider and his folk, but people look down upon it as a solo class and not as useful in raids, so I dunno. So yea... Any advice? (Except play what you want. I want my characters to be lore-friendly, but also as much min-max as possible.) Tnx! [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 05:00 AM PST The Roadmap for LOTRO will soon be published. What do you guys think is in the pipeline for LOTRO? What are you guys hoping for? The publishers and Cordovan have peaked with ''big plans''. My wish is that they have som nice updateds during 2020 for the current player base to enjoy before the HUGE plans with a big re-release. People are looking for a great classic MMORPG today. LOTRO is or was a masterpiece! If LOTRO want to make some money and stay relatively with the new Amazon LOTR series and MMORPG, the smartest and best thing they can do is to re-release LOTRO with some updates (hard to compete in 2020s with a 2007 game). They need to ride the LOTR waves that will come. I think the old classic game with improved graphics, combat, in game cutscenes and voice acting in the epic quests would make the game so much more solid. Add that with a solid PvMP and raids for the end game. I think this would bring thousands of players to LOTRO. Make some great trailers (not like the last one for Minas Murgul) before release and start to market the game as hell. If people does not know you exist you will not sell the game even if the game is great. The great thing is that LOTRO unfolds in the third age and people want to explore the places and people from the classic books and films. That is one huge thing LOTRO has and not Amazon - take advantage of that!I dont think this will happend but I think that it would been a great move for LOTRO and the game. They can have the old LOTRO servers open parallelly (for the fans that does not want to have a change) with the new classic LOTRO2.0 servers. Just like WoW with Classic. Posted: 20 Feb 2020 10:32 AM PST I have been playing the game on and off for about 4 years starting on my family pc and picking the game back up when I got my own pc since then have played on and off with a few different characters, the furthest I have got being Mirkwood I think? Anyway, what is the best server to play on being from England? Would prefer a popular English speaking server. [link] [comments]
