| Posted: 15 Dec 2021 05:03 AM PST Hey all I just came back after a while away and for all intense and purposes I consider myself a noob again lol. So I have a question or two. 1- What do i do with all the costume get I get when I made my toon? When I right click it it takes my armor off and places the costume in its place which is no good because it may look nice but offers no protection so how do I equip the costume stuff? 2-If I create dwarf do I need to start off in Dwarf area or can I go where the hobbits start if I am remembering correctly I like that area better? 3- Last but not least I just made a Dwarf RK and was wondering how they are solo especially with multiple mobs and how do they compare to LM and or minstrel in terms of soloing and great survivability? Want to play a caster for now not looking for melee. Thanks all [link] [comments] | ||

| game launch failrure: missing required configuration value for [URL.AkamidownloadURL] Posted: 15 Dec 2021 06:50 AM PST hey guys, as the title says, i'm having trouble launching the game. The loader client says upon launch:- missing required configuration value for [URL.downloadfileslist]! and then once I hit ok i see both errors listed. missing required configuration value for [URL.AkamidownloadURL] missing required configuration value for [URL.downloadfileslist]! Anyone know whats causing this? background info, I last played yesterday, before the downtime period. awoke my pc from sleep and attempted to launch the game. I even restarted my pc, and validated the game files in steam. In appdata/local i've found pathclient.log and a pathclient.old.log file. tried reverting to old and still no success. please help me guys [link] [comments] | ||

All the pop tool tips are so small I can't read much of it without straining. I need a way to increase font size of EVERYTHING......I would like to keep my resolution of 1920x1080 if possible..... Posted: 14 Dec 2021 08:44 PM PST Played a lot back at release and when Moria originally came out, and a bit about 2 years ago, (though my original characters are gone, they were on Elindilmir). I saw there were Legendary servers and jumped at the opportunity to start fresh again and maybe recapture what I loved about the game back then. Questions:

| What am I doing wrong when asking around for crafting assistance? Posted: 14 Dec 2021 12:32 PM PST Hey everyone, I'm currently playing on Evernight and for the past week I've been attempting to ask players for help crafting some Medium Doomfold armour for an outfit. I already have all of the materials ready (via collecting doomfold hide and asking a forester to convert them into leathers), but unfortunately don't have the Tailoring skills. For the past 7ish days I've been asking on world chat & my Kinship if anyone would be willing to craft me the gear & made it clear that I have the mats available etc. But despite asking around multiple times during the day (like during my lunch hour, then during peak in the evening) I haven't gotten a single response. Even when the conversations are both very active & dead. Yet other players who've also asked for crafting help in the same time period have had responses from other players in world chat etc. Am I just doing something wrong with this? I'm usually pretty chill and just state something like "Any Tailors online willing to craft me some doomfold gear, I have all required mats :)" for example. Any advise would be amazing please! | Intermittent lag spikes common? Posted: 14 Dec 2021 11:16 AM PST Hello, I've recently returned to the game after many, many years, and I am having intermittent lag spikes that I can't tell if it's related to the game or something else going on. I have ATT fiber and pretty much play online games exclusively and this is the only game that has this issue, but I'd say every 15-20 minutes I'll have about 30 seconds of the game being very unresponsive. Skills queue but won't fire, I'll face an enemy to attack and it'll tell me I need to be facing the enemy, everything will basically stop for about 10 seconds, then resume for a couple seconds, then lag again for 10 seconds, then it'll resolve itself and be fine for another 30ish minutes or so. It's like clockwork, and it's the only game I'm experiencing this with. I've opened up some ports based on a little bit of digging that I've seen online, as it appears to be an issue that others have experienced as well. Other than opening the ports(I can't remember the link, but it was on the official forums), does anyone have any other suggestions? [link] [comments] | ||

I wanted ask around what do you know about this patch, any ETA or details, somewhere to read about it. Posted: 14 Dec 2021 01:30 PM PST Hi there, just a quick question; I've been meaning to get commendations and grab the jacket and gloves of the Causeway for cosmetic reasons, but I found a little note in the LOTRO wiki that it's no longer obtainable as of update 31. | Coming back after a long time away Posted: 13 Dec 2021 11:36 PM PST Hello all! I used to play LOTRO religiously, from the beta up until the Rohan expansion, with a few brief absences. Life got kind of crazy and I took a long hiatus, popping on every once in a blue moon but not really doing much. Well, I've got the bug and I've been playing a lot... but everything's so different. My main character is level 92, and wow... I just don't know how to play her anymore. So I've been playing a low-level character instead. I'd like to revisit my main, though! Does anyone have any advice? Should I, gulp, delete and restart her? Are there any guides out there to help me get her up to date? [link] [comments] | ||
