I just saw this 1978 animated version of The Lord Of The Rings and I actually enjoyed it lol. At some points the characters have creepy animations but it is 1978 so it's not to bad.

Zone of Truce--what does it mean and are there any in-game effects for it, or is it just a roleplaying direction?

    Tirith Rhaw: Tower of Flesh?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 03:21 AM PST

I was just doing some research on Tolkien Gateway and came across this: http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/F%C3%ABa_and_hr%C3%B6a.

Notice that the Sindarin word for "body" or "flesh" is "rhaw." Those of you who spend time in the Ettenmoors will be familiar with Tirith Rhaw. The Sindarin word "Tirith" is "tower." Do the math.

    Can't find quest packs

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 06:25 AM PST

Hey lotro folks. Before the Coupon code expires this month I'm looking to use my lotro points to pick up all the individual Quest packs I don't have so VIP isn't 100% necessary for me. I still have my VIP subscription running right now and I can't find any of those packs on my lotro store.

Is that because I still have VIP which adds those packs? Or are they just gone?

Just a little help. Sorry im a newb.

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 06:49 PM PST

Hello, i was just wondering if anyone had any alternate control schemes? This is my first mmorpg. I couldnt run it on my pc when i was a kid and now that i have a nice rig, i decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, i am having a terrible time with the controls. This is the first game like this ive ever played. Does anyone have tips on how to get used to this type of control scheme or an alternative one that is easier for newbs? Something that could maybe make it more similar to a 3rd person action game? The biggest problem im having is the camera movement and character movement... Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Quests guides

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 07:31 PM PST

    Hi all,

I just came back to LotRO a while back and am enjoying playing a Warden again.

The one thing it makes me a bit frustrated is when I complete all quests in a certain area or camp, follow some questline to another area, just to come back later and find a lot of other quests available and uncompleted for some reason. Not repeatable quests, just whole questlines that were not showing before (maybe due to Rep or something) and now are all grayed out underlevel.

Is there any quest guides giving some guidance on what questlines to get at each location to avoid going back and forth all the time?

I've found quest lists, but vaguely remember some guides mentioning good pathways to follow.

OK designers here is a top tip for you.

If you are going to make a quest that requires you to traverse multiply levels of a instance and look into every corner to find exactly the only 10 copies of an item you need for a quest with no duplicates lying around, your quest is designed poorly. F**K your Gundabad Missions.

I just got into this game I am level 70, I was so hyped to get into LOTRO and explore. But spending 30 minutes on the mission to investigate and find 10 mining picks on an ice sheet with no sight lines is just painful.

    No LOTRO subscription found.

So, I played as recently as 2019. I wanted to play again, but when I log into my account, it says that I don't have a lotro sub.

I know the email address is correct because I have lotro store purchase confirmations there. I really don't want to lose this account because it is a lifetime sub from 2007! I have 6 or 7 characters there and loads of lotro store credits as well.

I submitted a support ticket about this when I first tried logging in again back in June and still no answer! 6 months with no answer at all! I opened another ticket a week ago, but nothing on that one either.

I don't know what else to do. šŸ˜ž

How do I get characters back from closed realm?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 05:53 PM PST

    Hi all

I was curious about coming back to the game to play with some friends and to my surprise after a few years away all my characters and the realm I played on were gone.

I emailed support and they gave me some jazz about technical problems preventing them from doing it.

    But they are there. Lol

    What do I do?

    Problems with the launcher?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 08:23 PM PST

Edit: It turns out that I'm just dumb and did not actually check everything: my VPN was causing the issue for whatever reason.

The launcher keeps failing for me when I try to play the past couple days. I've tried telling it to repair the files and doing a separate uninstall/reinstall of the game to no avail. It just keeps trying and failing to update. The only thing I haven't tried is downloading the game from the official website (I have it through Steam as of now, which I'm aware could be the issue).

But before I go to that trouble I wanted to come here and ask: is this an issue that other people are having with the most recent update, or is it just on my end?

Anyone found a way to play on the apple m1 chip?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 09:27 AM PST

I have a 2020 macbook pro that has the silicone m1 chip in it. On the lotro website they have a link to download the game for Mac, but my computer can't open the file after downloading. I found out it's because the apple M1 chip only supports 64 bit apps, it won't even try to run something that's 32 bit.

This means the launcher for LOTRO is solely 32 bit even though the actual game has a 64 bit option in the settings.

SO my question arises, is there anyone here who has gotten the game to run on newer mac's with the silicone chip? And if so, I'd love to know how you went about it.
