Opinions on the most "Heroic" class? Posted: 14 Aug 2021 04:34 PM PDT So, I was wondering what class people thought Glorfindel felt most like in LotRO, which lead me to this old thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/lotro/comments/ev0r0g/a_truly_heroic_class/ Now, I'm not asking specifically about Glorfindel at this point, but that thread is old enough that I thought a fresh perspective with the balance changes of the last year or so might have changed. I thought it was a really good question and hopefully it'll reach some new people and fire up some discussions. When I play LotRO I really feel the desire to find a motive and a story about how my character ended up here, the game really draws me to the RPG part of the genre where others like WoW do not. That thread really made me want to roll up a High Elf Captain and see how it felt, but I'm also curious to see what everyone else things fits. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2021 06:53 AM PDT Putting the word out there that there IS another progression server: Shadowfax. Yes, we are small, but as the co-leader of the largest and most active kin on the server, I can tell you, we are also mighty! We're headed to our first level increase soon, so you have just enough time to hop on and catch up before Moria lands (and at constant +50% xp, it won't take you long.) We're trying to build a community of tight-knit and friendly people who love to play this game together, not just for 1-50 but for whatever the level cap is when we get there. If that sounds like it's for you, please come check us out! [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2021 10:28 AM PDT Risca of Landroval at your service. A friend of mine recently started the game as f2p. I had two old codes for the Samwise starter pack and the steely dawn bundle that i received a long time ago that I gave him to use. I'm a life timer so I didn't need them. My main question is what are the best items to purchase from the store with Lotro points after using those two packs? Is it still to save up for expansions and quest packs? I don't think he will ever buy VIP unless he really likes the game. Thanks for any advice. [link] [comments]
Looking for the right server to get back into the game Posted: 14 Aug 2021 07:44 AM PDT I used to play LOTRO back in the days (2007-2009) and want to start playing again with a new character. I already did that a few years ago, however it seemed like the game had gotten a lot easier (at least up until Moria, where I stopped playing) and I just blew through the first 60 levels, with my lynx one-shotting enemies left and right. So my question is, is the Treebeard server similiar to the original state of the game in terms of how fast you progress? Or will I be level 50 in no time? And is there a difficulty level that makes it feel like the original game? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
