Tis a sorrowful day once more I must state my firm opinions regarding the abhorrent Loot-box System which is in entirety a gamble and lame way to acquire extremely powerful gear at lower levels notably 50-60 surpassing any Raid/Teal crafted jewel. So one purchase key for Real money and obtain full set to comparison of other soul who has spent weeks doing it in an old fashiond day. You have bracelets of the Fox, Heart etc or any Jewel of your choice from Motes/Boxes or impossibly pathetic Mission rewards with substantial rewards at 50 beating almost lootbox gear acquired of super dull and short solo instances. What Turbine once created and how players geared up properly is completely vanished. A modern generation of players with a thick wallet buying off 50 keys, opening dozens of boxes , doing brain dead missions and collecting pets, crafting finished in a same day, level 50 within 2 days. IMPORTANT: The process of maximizing certain gear is impossible without resorting to other buffs/ Mission/Loot-box or Super-rare Teal/Rare Light, Medium or Heavy Nadhin gear. A notable example is Level 50 on Legendary server for Tier II - Tier III Instances forcing players to evaporate and now inevitably burn out either Real money, grind for LP or grind themselves to Oblivion and beyond. An enormous mess that has ruined the beauty and common sense behind gearing up in a first place. Raid {12} - High quality 6 Man - Crafted - 2nd best ILLOGICAL BS -- Lootbox -Mission gear has greater Physical mastery ,stats and overall superior bonuses to Raid drop and crafted Beryl at 50 with very few exceptions. Furthermore it is possible to get Essence armour and essence drops from other Level 50 instances overshadowing other gear and causing chaos and confusion adding needless grind or RNG and painful process often long ,tedious and frustrating. You cannot possibly envisage how terribly is at nay level , those poor folks chained at 50 , there will be always a pot of those who can afford store buffs,stats tomes upgrades, tomes of defences and other boosts, enough money to get them any jewel, armour from boxes balancing well any stats they choose compared to your average player that simply wont be able to AND NOT HAVING OTHER OPTION. Think of current way, if you want to to Tier III Helegord on Legendary you will need sufficient Finesse, either mastery or depending on class mitigation and there is no way you can get it by just crafted gear or through normal way you will need other buffs and mission/essence/box,motes abomination that is forcing one to spent more real money ultimately or selling your very soul to LOTRO in terms of grinding. You can count on fingers how many players have cleared Helegrord all wings at level 50 on Ithil or Anor in 2018. 0,1% less because extremely few are enough to subject themselves to such sort of torment. You are divided to certain selective groups, back in very old days, all started on equal ground from nothing to quest, crafted, instances and slowly obtaining proper equipment it was completely neutral and fair. Nothing makes sense today. You are a pawn there , they are toying with thee, Forget about your titles and achievements, they do not matter anymore. It stopped ever since STORE was added, that was the beginning of the end. Beat me up if you can with the facts and your arguments for there are none because Grandmaster and High Queen of the Noldor have unparalleled knowledge combined with sheer overpowering honesty, fire and desire. I haven't played since moria released, so I don't even know where to start. I suppose what I would like to do is head towards the "Endgame" for some good ol fashion min maxing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am also playing the whole story from level 1 on shadowfax, but my boss wanted me to play with him on Brandywine, but hardly ever has time to play lol. | Xsolla blocking all payment methods Posted: 11 Jul 2021 11:48 AM PDT I've been playing lotro for over a decade and never had any issue paying before, but recently Xsolla decided to block my entire payment account (including PayPal and Amazon Pay). I enter in my zip code and I immediately get the 3032 error. About a week ago I had an unauthorized transaction with them for some game I didn't play and I had to do a refund through them with PayPal. So I reset my password enable two factor authentication and remove automatic payment with Steam (I think that's how they got into my PayPal atleast). I also get a new bank card to be safe. I contact Xsolla through the helpdesk but they continue to give me the runaround requesting screenshots and URLs of which I've provided and then emailing me copy and paste drivel. I'm not sure how but I am now unable to pay with any payment offered in the store. I've even tried downloading the Steam version to pay with Steam wallet but that doesn't work either, I still get the 3032 error asking me to contact Xsolla. Has anyone had this issue? | Posted: 11 Jul 2021 10:27 AM PDT With upcoming new mmorpgs and the cancelation of the new middle earth mmo plus the new tv series on the way, lotro needs to be upgraded a lot. Honestly i would rather have no new content for the game for 2 years and have it upgraded than anything else. The devs did already do a great job with the 64 bit client but we need way more for the future of this game. What i would like to see are: Updated combat animations both in terms of graphical, how fluid combat feels and sounds. Honestly i want to see a complete overhaul. Updated combat music and more versions of it. Optimisation of the game, where they can. This would probably be the hardest to do since the is build on such old code and engine, but maybe something could be done. And as last thing some updated textures. Although the game does still look pretty good. Lotro always has a special place for me but i just cant play it anymore because of above reasons. The content in the game is amazing tho. But after all these years the combat just doesnt do it for me anymore. [link] [comments] |
