    Which instances to go after Isengard?

    My two friends and I just finished the 3-man and 6-man Isengard instances and are now unsure which instances we should do next. So far it was pretty straightforward, at 50 we did Angmar/Eregion, 60 Moria, 65 Mirkwood/In their Absence and at 75 Isengard. Between the old lvl caps we mostly do the book quests. We would like to do the instances roughly in the order in which they were released, but we don't really know which instances made up the endgame at lvl 85/95/100 etc. Things like the Epic Battles further confuse us. Are they proper instances or just kinda like glorified epic quests?

    Regarding Skirmishes The Beginning of the End

    Skirmishes,Alas -

    The first major mistake and if it was me with Time Machine I would have done it differently , We have to remember the extremely strong and classic instances that were jewel of Shadows of Angmar or Mines of Moria Expansion - instead of giving us more of old school classic instances they have ultimately decided to bring first in my sincere option needless cheap grind basically adding same zone level gated boring private encounters with Defend that and Kill one or group enemies with greater Morale, damage and so on. All of it was seen before. It was painful to oblivion to run and defend one point and end with few marks, medallions which was and still is one the additional grinding aspects that I shan't speak in current thread --

    An instance that slowly marked the slow but assured decline of Lord of the Rings online if we talk more deeply , but I will leave it at side of reasons. I could talk until 5th age of Middle-Earth.

    If one is aware or not yet A Skirmish is your classic battle-instance with either offensive or defensive approach which involves either endless waves of hordes, some cheap "boss" enemy encounters or reaching Point A to B and assaulting certain fortresses.

    As for your companions -

    The game is simple to almost unbelievable sense therefore soldiers any race , class or level are not entirely needed since once can blaze even through Tier III Skirmish with ease. Skirmishes in general were and remain as the failed and simplified version of a standard instance with evidently straight-forward approach , additional grind.

    Why did I mentioned or Why Am I disappointed and was surely back in 2009.

    Simple - Hadn't they released skirmishes and ever since I done them for first time I kept wondering if game would have been far more rich with our classical instance such are as an example: Carn Dum, Sammanth Gul Type of these.

    Furthermore they added additional grind because it was in essence nothing really new , far from it, It is pointless to say and I find it very odd why would someone even call Skirmishes a success or a great add on, not even close. A skirmish add-on was the first minor step towards very slow but steady collapse of once superb game that peaked already with First Expansion Moria in 2008. New mayhaps at the first glance, but in core we ended with over time frustrating and burdening stuff that as you noticed by far have ended. Skirmishes are long gone.

    I have said on forums before and in game in eons past that another path and decisions could have been made, Alas.

    Once more to add - The classic , standard instances were one of the strongest points of Ancient LOTRO and instead of having more of these we ended with poor excuse of an Instance, same tale went on with the Big Battles that had in my sincere opinion much bigger but unused potential.

    Is there any soul out there that highly disliked and shuns away Skirmishes? I see no joy of farming endless waves I can do the same with battling in standard instances plus the Lag was always horrendous. May I also add massive mess and usually you will end with several players almost if its not guaranteed AFK-ing within chaos fore fire and fury.

    Skirmishes are used for cheap XP gain and mindless farm as well - They recycled many of older zones putting them into skirmish with same skins, models, enemies. Obviously some players prefer skirmishes for its simple ,instant approach and putting their brain on ease.

    Skirmishes were and remain with Mounted Combat , Big battles one of the highly promising but overhyped and overrated systems -

    Regarding Instances, Power levelling and World chat by Llimbaireidhel Spirit of Fire of Landorval

    Today I shall say a few words about Simplicity of Instances and Toxicity - waste of time and distraction of World chat.

    Instances in Lord of the Rings online are wholly straight-forward ,generally easy and simple to navigate to some other MMO's. Tis exactly why I never asked help from very high level. Progression, a bit of struggle and being lost ,all part of the tale. Having a player that will blaze and destroy or tell you already ultimately destroys a joy and mystery at least for me. They are faster because people are deciding and making it faster. They have chosen gear, grind or a mindless slaughter over slow steady progression , learning about lore, story and so on.. The Fundamental core should never change also its quite illogical and silly for a new player to rush in and they are totally new not caring for anything but to completion ,having completely no desire to learn. Rushing in is never wise nor will give you most of any game, quite contrary tis a wrong approach from my personal experience, perspective. I would say newbies should be encouraged to learn things by themselves and explore alone , not asking aid for anything out there.

    I often do not, very rarely keep an eye on the World chat these days. World chat is at the best often for many more distracting than usual often noticed much later on with inevitable drama and increasingly silly - off topic posts or worse which should be entirely avoided. Two death topics when it comes related to The Religion of Politics. Do not fall in web of madness. When I come I try to invest and focus purely on the content not reading the chat unless someone messages me specifically. However regarding help before, I am not so sure now. I play on Landroval {US} I could see players seeking help for certain instances, As for power levelling I have seen plenty of cases where non-kin folk are in a search for someone who will power level them through either Warg pens on Landscape content but they offer in game gold for your time at least, otherwise tis a large task, time investment. Power levelling is perfectly fine yet discouraged - Anyone should at least once level alone ,but if one has multiple alternative characters and helpful hand I see it as a reasonable option

    P.S. Seeking aid, advice is what human beings do, we cannot do all alone, but embracing lazy lame approach wanting all to be handled with ease is not a solution.

    Asking about game ,questions in general and aid, there is no shame in that, but choosing balance is the key. Doing constant begging or trying to do absolutely all alone is wrong as well. Point is to group too, missing a group is missing one of the core aspects. Players who wish to do a more unique ,strict or very uncommon approach should create their own kinship with special rules in my opinion. I went to extremes because it reminded me on my "struggles" as 2007 player and some of the newer generations of players want to have it all handled there. New players should know ,not only new player that many of us cannot help if we want to do so. An individual is restricted with their time, job ,family ,real life tasks and can barely have time for themselves too. What I find absurd is someone does not get help or response in World chat means instantly community "is unhelpful" which is not true. World cannot fit to your rules and wishes sometimes help wont be there at all.

    Regarding the Immense Legendary Server Failure and Inevitable doom By Llimbariedhiel Spirit of Fire of Landroval

    Tis shocking and truly astonishing. The fact of substantial amount of players falling to trap of "false classic" experience is even beyond me. Let us talk , shall we-

    Legendary servers - Arnor&Ithil have had a great and unused potential. Twas very evidently although they do not want to admit one of the greatest failures which is saddening of Lord of the Rings Online. One essentially has an exact copy of standard server with false promises and additional grind. Think about it, What would level cap mean anything if one can use XP disabler on regular server? Classic content died long time ago, the only way to get true classic content painful and nostalgic as it is to write it all is to give player-base a true intact copy of 2008 server for example. I played on Legendary with my Guardian for some time for same of old days but later on it became extremely boring , you realise everything you can do on Legendary you can do the same on Standard server. There is nothing unique ,new or creative plus VIP is needed, silly. They were too fast with raising level cap anyway. They did a massive mistake of NOT trying at least to give us Vanilla. I do believe when they it is not possible ,they have no desire or tech ,staff or funds to do it, but to say its not possible I disagree. A lot of players were confused and with high hopes thinking they will see how LOTRO was back at least release, it did not happened. However there was explanation prior what is the difference between Legendary and a true classic, but some players do not want to read ,simply.

    Reading a thread in whole extent or learning a bit about LOTRO's history can save you extreme frustration and disappointment. -

    As I am writing my post Ithil server will be given permanent closure - Instead of giving us something new and creative they basically borderline scammed and lured players in Ocean of lies and broken promises which is followed even by Exclusive VIP option. For I have been telling prior that Legendary servers are from Legendary. They were nothing more but a pathetic excuse and fast Money grab that was sadly "successful" very early on

    Massive disappointment and evidently one of the grandest failures of SSG since they took control back in year of 2016.
