What to buy from store (Expansions or packs)

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 02:30 AM PDT

    Hello,

I am a returning player to LOTRO, i have already enabled VIP for my account (brand new characters, never did the migration so i lost my old characters), what do you guys think are must have for newbies as far as expansions or packs go and in which order do you think i should buy the expansions now in 2021? i need to schedule them for economic reasons.

Blue Burg questions - post U23.5

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 03:15 AM PDT

hey guys, im a super old player from years gone by and jumping back in to see whats new and....not sure whats going on here anymore lol. gambles reworked and cunning attack nerfed???

i see gambles are now 30 seconds, all 3 can b applied at once, but no longer tierd up instead replaced upon the next ability use. doesnt this effectivly remove 3ish skills off our rotation as if we hit a t5/6 gamble, we dont want to overwrite it. can someone help me more understand these changes?

i see people saying blue is only good now for mass cc, but im not sure what ability is allowing for that, any help there would also be appreciated.

i had a rotation before but with cunning attack nerffed and gamblers strike reworked im no sure what my rotation is, any advice here is also welcome. thanks in advance, sorry if this is alot lol

In need of some help naming and verifying my names for some characters.

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 02:32 PM PDT

    Hello there

I want to keep this short and sweet. I'm writing my own story set inside Middle Earth that will follow two Rangers of the North. I also plan on RP-ing with these characters inside LOTRO. Naturally I want to be as lore friendly as possible. All I need is from some of you who know more about Tolkien's languages to help me verify if my names are good.

    1. Alaphaer (Elm Spirit) - This is the main characters name and one that was debated on before (on this very subreddit). Some people said the correct spelling would be Alafaer but some people say Alaphaer is correct as well. The person who created the name used Alaphaer and one of the mods of this subreddit (I think) said Alaphaer was also correct.
    2. Celebnir (Grey man) - This is the uncle of the main character. The original name for him was Celebdan since Celeb means silver and dan man. However I was told by multiple people that it wasn't correct and that Celebdan is the correct version. The translation should steal mean Silver man or Silver one.
    3. Eryndil (Forrest friend) - I crafted this name from Eryn (forrest) and Dil (friend). I was told this one works but it is more suited for a recent elvish name and not an ancient one.

That's it. Those are the name I would love to get "checked" once again. Also if it's possible I would love if someone here could link me a reliable Tolkien dictionary site where I can see all of his languages and translations. I knew about a site like that, but I'm afraid I've lost it.

PS. I'm currently in the process of creating my own Hobbit. So If possible (I am aware I'm already asking for a lot) could you show me some good resources for Hobbit names and Hobbit name creators.
