Golodir doesn't seem happy with his apple picking duty. Wouldn't last a day as an MMO player.

    World/public LotRO RP -- still a thing?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 11:29 PM PST

Hi! I'm not a new player but I am a very established player on Landroval. That said, it seems as if Landy's RP scene is... well, I won't say it's dead. It's not dead, just insular. It isn't as vibrant nor plentiful as it used to be.

Completely honest question here: am I missing something? Is Landy mostly insular RP and I need to find a kin to really enjoy myself? Are the other RP servers more active, in the public sense? People actually RPing in cities/Bree/hosting player-run taverns? If so, which servers are more active in this sense and... is it reasonable to expect a good amount of activity during the evenings at US Eastern (NYC) time zone?

I'm seriously considering transferring, as much as I love Landroval and it's in my blood after playing on it since beta. Is there somewhere else more active? I hope this doesn't sound as sad and desperate as I feel, lol... I really would like to be involved in a vibrant public RP community in LotRO again.

    Thanks in advance, everyone.

I gave my lifetime founder account to a friend, figuring since I hadn't played in years I might as well let him have it. Said goodbye to my characters & deleted them. Now that I'm playing on a free account I miss my old characters. Oh, well.

Is the VIP account really worth it? I don't regret my decision-much. My friend still plays daily & uses the account. I just wish they'd offer lifetime deals again.

    LOTRO in 2021

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 12:18 AM PST

Embarrassing question: what makes a tank? I keep seeing it requested on the world chat. What Race/class/trait lines? I play solo now but thinking about an alt. Thanks!

Hey everyone I played years ago and I am looking to return. Any advice? Is there a server that's more active than others? Really looking forward to this!

Does the rohan deed tome work on a lvl 105 valar character?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 03:50 PM PST

I bought the lvl 105 valar gift a few years ago and my character is still missing the rohan deeds because it wasnt included back then... if i buy the rohan deed tome for about 2000 points will it work? Because in the shop it says something like "will not work on characters with gift of the valar" in the describtion. I dont really have the time to go back to west rohan just for trait points... its also my least favourite region in the game :(

    Vitality bear

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 12:09 PM PST

Gotten some better gear and done some math. Can get the bear up on 810k morale buffed. Sitting on 84k Vitality, tweaked a bit after the screenshot to get another 2,5k. For 1 million morale i should be needing another rank in the ettenmoors and/or about 104k vitality.

    Gear

Mostly my standard tank gear with some cheapish parts to get a boost in vitality for here. Guilded 10-12 crafting component gear with T3 purple jewelery drops.

    Morale buffs

    • 5% from Hope tokens
    • 8% from Ettenmoors rank
    • 20% from Bear form
    • 10% from captain buff
    • 5% from captain Duty bound (10 min)
    • 15 % Grizzly cry (15 second buff from bear skill)

    Fully buffed

    Human form unbuffed

    Bear form unbuffed

I learned hard way about not dying till level 20 and not breaking Elf\Dwarf prologue line. What else should I keep in mind when starting again as a completionist?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 11:02 AM PST

I just can't get rid of that "spoiled fun" feeling so I'm about to re-roll my character in regret for the 3rd time because of the things I was not aware of. And I don't want to fail something again, especially being further in game.

I love this community and I'm sure I'm not the only one who might have the same problem. Can you please give me some hints? Is there any quest lines I could accidentally break like Elf\Dwarf prologue or actions that could possibly make some title unobtainable (like dying before level 20)?

How is burglar leveling? Any trait line recommended?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 10:07 AM PST

I'm wondering how well burglar does at leveling. Recently I played guardian which was alright but slow at killing mobs, and champion just doesn't interest me too much, so was wondering how well burglar would do. Which of the trait lines is recommended for solo leveling as well?

    Help a newbie(me) out

As told in the title, I am really new to this game, I think I'm about 30 hours in total.

How do you get a horse?

Right now in The Shire but I can't buy a horse. I have tried to buy a horse in almost all stables I've run past. All I can find is how to "borrow" them from town to town, but not how to get one yourself. Please me help out
