    What do you think?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2020 09:37 PM PST

What do you think about the new job postings for the game over on DayBreak's website?

The most interesting of the two, I would say, is for the Senior Game Producer. https://www.daybreakgames.com/careers?location=massachusetts&job=4936752002

The other two are temporary jobs for content design and engineering. https://www.daybreakgames.com/careers?location=massachusetts&job=4818263002 https://www.daybreakgames.com/careers?location=massachusetts&job=4818288002

I wonder what that means for Severlin? Maybe oversees that person? Maybe goes back to just handling DDO?

    64 bit client execution problems

    Posted: 03 Nov 2020 09:46 AM PST

Hello everyone! I am having an already too annoying and persistent problem trying to run the 64 bit client. before the update of the three peaks everything worked perfect, but then the 64-bit client no longer works.
I have tried many solutions, I browse this forum and other pages but no solution seems to work.
I sent a report a week ago and there is still no response from SSG, so I turn to you in case someone can help me.

1.- Things that I have tried and have not worked:

    a) Uninstall and reinstall all visual C ++ redistributable packages
    b) update the graphics drivers.
    c) uninstall and reinstall DX 9,10 and 11.
    d) rename the file "UserPreferences64.ini".
    e) uninstall and reinstall the game twice.

2.- the characteristics of my computer are:

    CPU: AMD A8 6600K 3.9 ghz
    RAM: 12 gb (1860 ghz)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 950 Asus Strix (2gb)
SO: Windows 10 Home version 20H2.
the game are installed in SSD disc

    3.- 64-bit client log

When reviewing the log, the following error report is generated

000000000.000: Initializing client - build version is [2801.0063.3577.4028.RELEASE]

Regarding this error, look for that DLL and download it and copy it to the installation folder but the error persists.

I can run the 32-bit client without any problem, but when I try to start the game with the 64-bit client, nothing happens. it doesn't show any error or something like that.

Microsoft c++ visual redistributable and wine-preloaded

    Posted: 03 Nov 2020 12:05 PM PST

Hi there, I'm one of those players that uses the wine-preloader to play lotro on my only available laptop, a macbook. Now, things went relatively smoothly when the Mac client was replaced by the Wine wrapper, only now, every time I start up the launcher, a new internet window opens, suggesting I download Microsoft c++ visual redistributable.

I'm not in IT, but I do know that .exe files cannot be installed on a Mac device. Or must they be installed within the wine wrapper somehow?

Also, for the first time in years, I log into the game, and it freezes up instantly. I have to force shut it down. Just tried restarting the laptop, but second time's no different.

Has anyone had the same issues, or does anyone know what's wrong and what can be done about it? Was really looking forward to doing some more festival quests.

    Reputation requirements for recipes

    Posted: 03 Nov 2020 07:37 AM PST

When a recipe requires a certain standing with a faction (for example friend with men of dunland) do you need to have the reputation on the character using the recipe? Or could you buy it on another higher level character who meets the reputation requirements and then mail it to a character of lower level but high enough crafting level?
