| Help me to take a decision (player coming back) Posted: 05 Jun 2020 01:15 AM PDT Hello everyone, I would like to come to lotro but i can't take a decision about "how" My main goal is to play at least Rohan expansion during summer because it is my favorite part of middle earth in both books and movies. I have a lvl 43 warden on the legendary server Arnor (i used to play with a friend who stopped playing). I enjoy warden very much so i would like to play this class anyway. I have also a ministrel at level 67 on normal server but i don't enjoy that much this class, especially while questing I heard that Legendary server are "ghost town" and that it is not "future proof" due to the lack on investment by SSO. So now i don't know if i should create a new warden on a standart server or just play my warden on the legendary server (i don't mind going VIP) i have few question about that : - Will i be able to play with people from level 43 to 75-85 on legendary / normal server ? - Can i buy the 2 XP boost item (+25%) on my character on the legendary server ? Since i ve done Moria and Mirkwood with my ministrel i would like to get through these faster - Do you think that transfer from legendary to normal server will be possible after reaching level 130 ? - If i create a new warden on normal server with 2 25% items boost, how fast will i level to 70-75 with 2 hours of game time per day ? Is there any reason not to do it? I kinda wanted to try out Rune-keeper, so I had been looking at the quadpack to get the char slots + classes as well, but might be fine playing my hunter. I just graduated from University and wanted to come back to this amazing game. I stopped playing around 2014-2015 around the Rise of Isengard/Helms Deep expansion because of school. However, I was wondering if there have been any major changes since then. I heard something about legendary weapons having a revamp, but what else has changed? Are there other gameplay improvements? | Posted: 04 Jun 2020 11:12 AM PDT Hello, I recently spent the 1k LP to make a stout axe. I made a champ but after perusing comments everyone said they're the worst dps for their anim speed alone... Kind of regretting it now, as a huge waste of my time. Why would I want to roll a champ or burglar if it's going to mitigate my dps. Also why would SSG leave the anims to even affect dps... :/ I also really wanted to 2h axes but looks like the closest I'll get is wep swapping as champ endgame Edit: I have no evidence of this affecting DPS parses, just hearsay from world chat and people IM'ing on the matter. | Fast class to unlock Warden/Beorning Posted: 04 Jun 2020 12:44 PM PDT Hi people, i'm just another of the newbies giving the game another try with the deal of the codes, the thing is that the classes i'm more hyped to play to be honest are The Beorning (Beorn is one of my favorites characters and i just love bears in general) and The warden since i'm kinda looking forward to that type of reactive combat. i love playing melee characters and Tanks overall, with a splash of healers when i'm looking for a change, i started today again as a champion, i'm looking forward to play the game in the long run but i just want to play those two class while learning the basics of the game. What should be my priorities in terms of classes and zones? i don't want to speedrun the game ignoring the lore but i'm looking for some basics tips just to try to not waste any time. i'm playing at Landroval and if someone is looking for partners, post your name and we'll see later on if we can do something. I decided to start playing too since I like RPG and LOTR (not as much as her but), and also so we can play videogames together. To duo a hunter, seems obvious to play captain. That is fine, but I would really like to play rune keeper. Do you think we are going to suffer, or with my healing and combined DPS we just have to be more careful? Any build/vocation advice? Per my store history, I've never actually spent any of the 500 points/months I've been accumulating over the years. Once I get higher level I'll probably spend 6500 or so on the Helms deep and Rohan expansions but other than that? No clue. So what would you do in my situation? EDIT: Disregard what I said about not seeing any content in the store. I was looking while still at the character select screen. Didn't realize most of the stuff was character specific.
