    Captain rotation guide?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:53 AM PDT

Hi there! I started playing Captain (red line) and it's fine so far. I'm lvl 20, and I'm just wondering if there's a guide for a rotation?

Thoughts on the East Rohan quest structure?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:56 PM PDT

    Hey folks!

I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about the eastern Rohan quest lines where in some areas (such as Wildemore) you can only access a few quests at a time. I'm used to wandering the zone and picking up as many as 30 quests, and doing them in order of whatever is closest, but now I'm having to follow a very detailed storyline that goes from one quest to the next with no ability to jump to the next area of the map until I complete a quest that unlocks it.

Do you guys like this method or dislike it?

    Pros/cons?

In my mind I find there are a lot of pros to this because I'm retaining a lot more lore (I can barely remember Angmar because I jumped around constantly once I unlocked the second half of the map). However, I miss jumping around when I get bored! I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks.

Also do they keep this going?

What do you wish you knew earlier in the game?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 04:55 PM PDT

I am a first-time player and an inexperienced PC gamer, so there is a lot for me to learn! I'm currently a level 27 hobbit minstrel and absolutely loving it. But I'd like to hear from all of you - what do you wish you knew earlier in the game? Any tips or tricks you think are important for new players? Let me know! :)

What should I aim for as I intend to tank at max.

I am new to the class, so any guidance is appreciated.

    Simplest class, other than hunter?

Other than hunter, what do you guys think is the simplest class to play for solo PvE?

    Thanks!

    How to experience the world?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:26 AM PDT

I want to experience the world and story of this game that everyone keeps raving about! I'm not really in it for end-game, raiding, or PvP. More for the adventure.

Are there any pitfalls I should expect on my journey if I just started questing? (I'm level 14)

I redeemed the fantastic code that gives nearly all the quest packs and I plan to get the expansion quest packs as I earn some points. I also have the samwise gamgee starter pack. Should I be looking to buy anything else? I see 1-month of VIP being tossed around as a good purchase. Is this the case if I just want to take a fun romp around middle earth?

Last question before I continue questing. Do I need to get into crafting?

    Thanks is everyone!

Edit: You guys are awesome! Tons of great stuff in here and I feel ready to take on the adventure armed with new knowledge!

    How relevant is crafting?

Just wondering what role crafting and gathering plays in this game.

    Loremaster survivability: water-lore.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:52 AM PDT

So for fun I've been trying to decide between my Minstrel or my recently dusted off Loremaster (lvl 58) by running them through 3-man instances solo, and while it's been a breeze with the Minstrel due to his self-healing (he's only 28, that could change), I've been struggling with my LM. I am of course missing a self-heal because I'm not a high enough level yet for water-lore, so I was just curious how much of a difference it makes for the LM in terms of staying alive.

Lotro registration form sometimes asks only for birthdate but sometimes additionaly also for real sur- and lastname...?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:59 AM PDT

    Hello,

i registered my account, and i only had to fill in my birthdate. A friend of mine registered too at the time and always mumbles what he is doing and said, "first name and last name" and i told him, i didnt had that option to fill. And asked him, if he is on the correct official site. (he is not experienced in online stuff, so im helping him often) He was indeed on the official site but sometimes it shows the form with and sometimes without the name row (tested it a few times, but most of the time it is with). Its really wierd. It might not be important, but i just wanted to ask if this is known? Sometimes such inconsistencies are important when its about pishing sites and stuff and i wonder why it is like that.

    Have a great weekend!
