Posted: 20 May 2020 05:48 PM PDT Hey I recently discovered and began LOTRO last night, (I'm 21 if you wondered how I hadn't yet found it haha) I've begun as a Dwarf Guardian of the Lonely Mountain. Any tips for a newbie or perhaps places to look for dependable people to help me along? I I've never properly played an MMO of any kind so this is completely new to me but LOTR has a special place in my heart and I want this to work out. Thank you all! ~^ ~ Paralian [link] [comments]

Another Newbie with some Questions Posted: 20 May 2020 07:09 PM PDT Hello all. I'm a WoW beta veteran so MMOs are second nature to me but LOTRO has some quirks I'm unfamiliar with. Firstly I'm on Arkenstone and have a level 26 Man Captain. Does anyone know of a friendly guild on Arkenstone who would be willing to just be helpful to a new player who only is online sporadically? Next, how do instances usually work? I have a handful I'd like to run but the instance finder is no luck so far. Do people just skip instances or are guilds a better avenue for pre-mades? Are specs necessary for low tier instances or can I just red-line jam on my Captain? Additionally, does every character eventually fall onto the same leveling path as far as questing? I want to roll a Beorning and Minstrel but I fear I will be doing the same quests I just completed. [link] [comments]
Looking for a class to kick ass and chew bubblegum! Posted: 21 May 2020 02:12 AM PDT Greetings lotro-community. After playing my burglar for a while now, I am looking for a fresh breeze in shape of rolling another character. My burg is my only character, so I do all things lotro with him: Festivals, housing, crafting, some rp etc. But every now and then, I'd just like to play a John Rambo of Middle Earth, put on some kickass music and jump headfirst into Sauron's hordes. The burglars tactical approach and general single-targetdness dont really give me that.. So my question: Which class would be most suitable for my needs? Thanks in advance and have a nice day! Posted: 20 May 2020 05:26 PM PDT Hello! I've recently returned to the game after some years. I am currently trying to determine the current state of the warden. I just bought the quad pack and wanted to make it my new main. I've never gotten past lvl 40 so still trying to learn what's endgame viable. At first I thought it was a top tier tank class but turns out it's a top tier DPS. I rolled human initially but think I'll swap to high Elf for light dmg bonus. I had a couple questions for endgame: -Do racials really determine whether or not groups will take you in at end game? [link] [comments]
Where to find decent looking cosmetics/attire? Posted: 20 May 2020 12:12 PM PDT In all my time playing LOTRO, I've really struggled trying to look decently (in my opinion). Is there any current help or sites or anything to help find decent looking outfits? [link] [comments]
Trying LOTRO with a few friends, got a question. Posted: 20 May 2020 10:53 AM PDT Me and 3 friends are trying out lotro together, what races should we choose if we want to group up together as fast as possible to level? [link] [comments]
Idle speculation about Lhaereth Posted: 20 May 2020 09:42 PM PDT She's ancient evil, looks part bat, says she has served Sauron for ages, and claims she is the last of her kind. Am I the only one who thinks she's a vampire? [link] [comments]
Picking legacies for a Hunter weapon? Could use advice. Posted: 20 May 2020 12:43 PM PDT Coming back to the game after 5 years. I'm taking a look at my weapon (first age, level 100, maxed but not imbued), and it seems right now I have these legacies: -Quick shot critical chance in precision stance -Strength quick shot slow -Heart seeker damage -Quick shot damage -Hunter damage over time -Induction bow damage I'm planning on replacing the Quick shot slow with Induction Bow Critical Multiplier, but I don't know what else to change. Possibly the one for precision stance, since I find myself always in strength anyway (traited fully red also, if that helps any). Any suggestions of what I should change, and what I should add as my seventh legacy when that pops up? As a note, I don't plan on doing any tough raids or anything, I'm really just playing super casually. So I don't want to end up making more than one LI for bow swaps or whatever. I just want one bow. In addition, what kind of legacies should I be going for for my melee LI? That one I'm very lost on. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 May 2020 02:45 PM PDT Is there an alternate way to contact customer support? That's really the TLDR version. If any details are needed, I can log into the game client, I can (and did) buy things from the store, and I can log into the SSG account site to see my old lotro and DnD online account creations. However, I purchased the warden and runekeeper before I bought the moria expansion, not realizing they were included. In trying to contact customer support to see if they would have mercy a new player/idiot like me and issue refunds for the classes, however, for some reason when I try to log into the SSG help website it says my username and password are incorrect. When I try to use the 'forgot my password' feature, it says it failed to verify and no email is sent to me. I am using the same email for both the client and and the store, and SSG. Could there be an issue since my account is from 2012 with turbine, but I haven't logged in again until now? I made a lotro account in 2012 to try it out back when turbine was involved, and I still have that ancient account creation email. I was just starting school though so got too busy for an mmo. I heard that a lot of content was free for the next couple weeks and with quarantine figured this was a great time to try it out again, but not being able to access the help site is not good if there are any account-related issues that occur in the future. Can't select a drive to download the game to? Posted: 20 May 2020 09:08 AM PDT Hey all, I'm redownloading the game on my desktop and I wan't to put it on a larger drive instead of my C drive. I'm not finding any options for an install path change, am I doing something wrong? [link] [comments] |
