Posted: 03 May 2020 04:54 PM PDT Good day! I started playing on Ithil about a year ago with some friends and it's been a blast. I hit 85 today for the first time and I wasn't sure if there were any guides, tips, or general practices to getting a bit better gear at maximum level without really raiding? Some games do dungeon/raid currency that allows you to buy pieces (e.g. FFXIV), some do small group instances and you rely on random drops (e.g. Vanilla WoW), and I wasn't sure what blend of instances, landscape quest rewards, crafting, skirmish rewards, or reputation rewards would be good to generally aim at in this game. Our goal is to hopefully be able to do full skirmishes and maybe full fellowship instances with the four of us if that makes a difference or provides a useful point of reference on the scale between casual and hardcore raider. :) Thanks for taking the time to read this! Oops. Stupidly slagged my nice Gloin cloak Posted: 03 May 2020 01:47 PM PDT Any way I can get that back? Repeat the quest somehow? https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Quest:Chapter_1.8:_A_Watchful_Eye [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2020 02:57 PM PDT Hey folks, Just asking for some help. I'm a level 91 Warden, and I seem to be in the middle of a level 92 quest called Hill Tribes and Horse-lords https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Quest:Chapter_8:_Hill_Tribes_and_Horse-lords I'd quite like to continue exploring and adventuring, but I can't figure out how to get back to the relevant zone. I was in Belfalas (Lost my housing because I forgot to pay upkeep. sigh) when I logged out. Should I fast travel back to bree then look for the stablemaster? What location should I aim to go to? I'm currently following some guides to get me back into the swing of playing Warden, but I'm having trouble also with understanding the new Virtues system. Can anyone help me out with trying to level my virtues? [link] [comments]
[Opinion] Stout-axe is the Best Race in LOTRO Posted: 03 May 2020 09:29 AM PDT So, a little bit of backstory in regards to what I believe as a person. I do believe that every person has a choice in every situation they're in. Most of those choices are mundane (homework or r/lotro? I'll take this subreddit, lol), but there are some choices that truly define us. If a guy decides to hold up our favorite coffee shop, for example, most people would run, which would be our "flight" mechanic. But there are some who will resist. They may die, and they know that. But they believe it's the right thing to do. Enter the Stout-Axe Dwarf. [link] [comments]

staying warden vs releveling as captain? Posted: 03 May 2020 08:23 AM PDT hey all, so my FIRST character was a Warden in Moria because i was so excited to finally have an MMO class that used a spear/shield. While Warden is really cool, eventually I kind of find myself... worn down by the gambits? like soloing turns into a chore of "ok this gambit now this one.." etc. I tend to play in cycles, finally decided to go back and push to hit Moria and then stopped again for the mentioned reason. is there a way to make Warden feel better? the builder shortcut combos didn't help much. it being my first class i played longer than the intro for, not sure if i'm doing it wrong or what! Would it be worth releveling as a Captain if I enjoy their support style, or sticking out Warden? [link] [comments]
Anniversary quest year 7 Helm's Deep- where are the Remembrances? Posted: 03 May 2020 05:02 PM PDT I've been all around Helm's Deep both before the battle and at sunrise, after the battle, and I can't find any remembrances at either one. Does anyone know where they are? EDIT- FIX FOUND finally got it fixed. I had to completely leave it helm's deep, all instances, go to another town with a stable, and rather than port in and try any of the phases I had to ride a horse in for them to show up. Really odd, but at least I got it done. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2020 12:04 PM PDT I know everything is free right now until the end of May, but I was wondering if you can buy all the expansion points with LP or not? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2020 08:22 AM PDT Hey folks, level 45 and from my previous posts, people have said to focus on going to get my first LI before doing MM, Angmar etc. Could someone explain what getting the LI entails and how long it's likely to take? My plan is to get my LI then complete quests / deeds in Angmar and MM before month end which hopefully will allow me to buy the Moria quest line with LOTR Points. I have 600 atm, plus about another 200 I can get from an unfinished Evendim roughly [link] [comments]
Is it worth it for a new player in 2020? Posted: 03 May 2020 01:24 PM PDT I knew of this game when it fast came out and have loosely followed it since, watching the occasional YouTube video but never actually playing. I'm looking for a new RPG and was wondering what everyone thinks about this game for a new player in 2020? How much time do you think this game has left before the player base dwindles or the servers get shut down? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2020 04:15 AM PDT sorry if this is becoming a spam but I am getting really frustrated.I usually play lotro on my old laptop and I get around solid 60 to 160 fps depending on the area with some minor hiccups here and there. However in the past few hours I am getting like 20 fps max.I tried restarting my laptop, the client checked if I have anything running in the background but no luck.Is this a server thing or am I doing something wrong here?
