Posted: 01 May 2020 04:19 AM PDT I like playing Lotro not because of the gameplay mechanics but because of the environment. The first time i got the the top of Weathertop is memorable for me and exploring the ruins quests don't take you is how i spend most of the game. This does mean however that I level very slowly and stay in the midgame for very long. I realy want to play the midgame instances, however, when I look for a group I very rarely find more than 3 people. Many of the midgame instances have I not played yet because of it. Most players seem to be endgame and and therefore it's easier to find endgame groups, kins and items. Can you help me find a server or kin that has more midgame players who are interested in midgame instances rather than only endgame? [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 May 2020 05:42 AM PDT Hey guys! I've just returned to LOTRO for the first time in like 6-7 years and have played since 11 years ago. I've started a fresh toon just so I can fully immerse myself into the game again. Is there any Kinships on the Gladden server to make this journey not as lonely and for possible group content! :) [link] [comments]
Which server is full of english players? Posted: 01 May 2020 08:10 AM PDT Hi! I'm a beginner, which server has more people in the english language? I'd really love to play with people--Thanks! [link] [comments]
Solo player looking to create an alt - LM or RK? Posted: 01 May 2020 07:45 AM PDT Hi, r/lotro! :) (I know this question has been asked a billion times (read a lot of the threads here) but none of them specifically addressed solo play. Most of the answers have been about the role of LM vs. RK in duo or group play.) My main is a hunter and I play solo almost 100% of the time. I was wondering which class would be better in terms of survivability and which would give me less of a headache as I go along? I don't mind learning the complex mechanics of the LM (and I'm highkey in love with the staff aesthetic) but I'd love second opinions on if it'll be a pain to go through the landscape as a solo LM, whether at low or high levels. Also, anything you think I should definitely know about either of the classes before jumping in? [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Apr 2020 06:35 PM PDT I posted a while ago saying the game was too easy for our 4ppl group. Well, now that we are lvl 72 and changed the comp around, I realise how wrong I was. We are a 4ppl group. Blue cap, red cap, LM and guard. Our goal was to do 6ppl content. What im seeing is that most of the time we are failing the fellowship content because we are lacking heals. It's so weird. Either I'm not playing the blue captain right? or it just scales better at 130? Am I ever gonna be able to heal my fellowship through fellowship instances? Should I switch to my lvl 71 RK ? Thanks for helping :) [link] [comments]

New player planning on making a Hobbit Minstrel possibly Posted: 30 Apr 2020 12:20 PM PDT My question is that I'm assuming once I reach endgame it'd be best to be a healer for my group. However when I'm leveling I might not play with many people, and so my question is that is there a way I can play a Minstrel for solo play and then switch to a healer Minstrel? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Apr 2020 01:21 PM PDT Hi everyone, I played this game about 12-13 years ago and have recently decided I want to try it out again, as it's one of my favorite MMO's from way back when. I've got a few friends who might be joining me as well, but I had a few questions that I'm having trouble finding answers for, and I'm hoping its not just a repeat of things that are already asked all the time: - is it worth playing on a legacy/progression server? and are there any new ones planned to start from the beginning? - if not, what is the best server to play on for EST timezone/night players with a healthy population? Thanks for the help. [link] [comments]
Frame rate feels much lower than is shown in game Posted: 30 Apr 2020 10:18 AM PDT I know there have been a ton of complaints about the lag, but I'm wondering if my issue is related. Over the last several weeks, I've noticed that oftentimes, my in game frame rate "feels" like it's in the 20's even though on screen, it says that it's 80+. I've played a lot of games so I know what a good frame rate feels/plays like. For example, I'll be in Lyndleby in the new zone and my frame rate is stuttering like crazy, but when I look at the in-game counter I see that it's around 60-80, which makes no sense to me. For what it's worth, I'm running high settings on a fairly new laptop Anyone else having this issue? Thanks! Edit: It seems to only happen when I'm plugged into a large external monitor [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Apr 2020 08:39 AM PDT Hi all, Clearly a new player and I'm curious about the backpack situation. I'm a bit of a hoarder, thinking I'll need absolutely everything possible when clearly that's not true. Is there a way to store things outside of a backpack? Like a Skyrim chest? Or maybe a community storage space like a vault? Other than me just needing to get more bags... which how do I even do that? Also, is there a way to decipher all of the acronyms and things that people are saying when talking the game or what they need from other players? This is probably a confusing way to word things, but thanks anyways for reading if you've got this far. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Apr 2020 05:12 PM PDT I recently just made my way back to LotrO after being away from a few years because hey, I'm funemployed (not working but still getting paid so it really is fun) and have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to game now. I recall last time I was on there (2018 I think?) seeing an LGBTQ kin. I can't remember what server I was on but I think it was after the great server migration so it may have been Arkenstone. I'm on Arkenstone now, and would love nothing better than to find this kin and have an MMO space with my community. Where are you? Does anyone know what they were called and if they still exist? I'm off of social media these days so I can't even seek out help on the Facebook group. [link] [comments] |
