My brother and I just started characters on crickhollow.

    I'm a champion and he's a hunter.

Any activities we should be doing? We just hit 14 and got our asses kicked in an instance

    Class Yelling

I might be in the minority but I love the yelling some classes have. Just curious which class yells the most, excluding minstrel.

Can we please have a new/returning player questions megathread?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 07:26 AM PST

It's awesome that there's still so much interest in the game and so many people looking to return, but at this point these posts are taking up 80% of the sub. A FAQ will never be able to cover everything, so it seems to me that a weekly or even monthly megathread would be the best way to go. It would help new and returning players more easily locate answers, make it easier for the sub regulars who are answering these questions to have them all in one place, and help keep the sub less cluttered.

Just finished Ered Luin. Should I go by foot and do Celodin, or port to Bree?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 12:04 PM PST

I think I have done all the quests in Ered Luin for now. Now, I have like 5 quests urging me to Bree. But should I take my time and walk there and do the starting missions of the elves in Celodin? Do they start there and also branch out just as Archet or Ered Luin?

Also, I want to know, why , when I did the mission with the Durhands in their first stronghold to the straight left of Gondamon, why could I do the mission where you save the elf that is hiding in a bush, with my human, and I never got that mission with my dwarf?

    Tnx!

PS: Where the hell can I get yellow onions for my cook, if no one sells them on the market, nor the farmer resources with which you make them? How is a cook supposed to even level up if he is not also a farmer?

Hey, I have not played the game and was wondering if its possible to just ride around and explore middle earth with the "free2Play" version. and if so what is the quickest way to get a mount? :D

is there any way I can increase my dps of my lvl 100 legendary bow past 3000??

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 12:53 PM PST

I tried using one of those small blue crystals but it didn't change anything as far as I noticed. I imbued it and spent a lot of mithril coins to max out the dps part, but maybe theres a next step to further increase it?

    Thinking about playing this game

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 07:03 AM PST

Hello! I played this game a little bit about seven years ago and am thinking about returning. I never got far in it but i played WOW for a long time so i have some MMO-experience. Initially i am mostly interested in the story and solo leveling, but might get around to raiding if it isn't as time consuming as it was for WOW (at its peak i raided about 16 hours/week apart from doing other content). I have looked into the current state of the game a bit and i don't fully get the payment system. I would have no problem with paying for the game if it's not to expensive. I know that you can be VIP which is like a subscription i guess, but do i then also have to buy each of the expansions to be able to progress trough the game? And if not what is most worthwhile buying the expansions and then being FTP or being VIP? I think that buying both is to expensive for me to get into the game. I did look up the beginners guide here on reddit but it doesn't really clear it up for me.

Furthermore i would be glad to get any other beginners tips for choosing class/race/proffesion and so on (or if there are any good guides out there).
