Fresh level 130 Captain Advice Needed Posted: 10 Feb 2020 08:12 PM PST Hi guys! Returning back to the game from a ~8 year hiatus. My captain is 120 right now, but I'd like recommendations for 130 just so I can plan ahead. I'll be mostly PvPing. Trait lines for pocket healing in PvP would be great. Gear recommendations would also be very helpful. I can wiki where to get the gear to save you guys some time š. If you're on Arkenstone PvP and want a pocket cappy once I'm geared out drop your name and I'll add you! [link] [comments] |
Turtle Recall: Recruiting for Level 50-60 Content! Posted: 10 Feb 2020 10:06 AM PST Who are we? We're a kinship devoted to running older content from level 50-75. We also enjoy getting new or returning players acquainted with the game and some of the changes or to answer any questions. We also enjoy helping people level, do virtues or just run some of the earlier instances. Our goal is not to go in there with higher level characters and steamroll everything, but to have on-level characters available at any time for everyone no matter when they start. How do we accomplish this? It's easy, we get our character up to 50, then add a Stone of the Tortoise pocket item from the LOTRO store (100 LOTRO Points). This locks your character at that level until you are ready to move on. Do I have to stop at level 50? No, you do not. You can go on to any of the other level caps in our kinship (60/65/70/75) and wait there. However, do understand that we're currently on 50 and once you go over 50 you will not be able to join us for those level 50 instances. Can I have more than one character or bring in older alts I rarely play? Absolutely! We encourage anyone who is active to have more than one character, even if it's the same class. You can have a level 50 mini, a level 60 mini and a level 65 guard. It doesn't matter. Play whatever you want. How can I join? We're on the Arkenstone server. Reply here for a invite to our Discord server. You can also add Shamey or Archirek to your friends list and shoot me a email in-game. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Feb 2020 09:04 PM PST My main is a 122 Guardian. All I've ever really done in this game is just wander around, quest, maybe do a couple instances with friends but that's it. I just kind of gave up on crafting, because I was getting good enough armor from Epic quests. Now that I've recently joined a Kin I would like to start raiding with my kinmates. The thing is, I only have one 1st age LI and the rest are 3rd age. How badly did I screw up by giving up crafting? And will I have to backtrack all the way to Bree in order to get better things? Some free account vs premium account questions. Posted: 10 Feb 2020 10:43 AM PST Hello! Im fairly new to the game, played it like 1-2 hours 7 years ago but i decided to give it a try again (and im in love). Im "f2p" player and just wondering when will the paywall come to me and how? Also is it worth to buy LP or just VIP or both? AND last question, do i need to buy every single expansion in order to get them or just the latest (like in wow) Also the classic one; English isn't my native language so don't mind if there are some mistakes. Posted: 10 Feb 2020 10:20 AM PST Alright so me and some friends are going to start play LOTRO. I am a returning player that has only been playing Champion before and need some tips which class to chose as my new character? I just want some new, fun class to get hooked on with my friends. But more importantly is which class to recommend to my friends so they get hooked, haha. They are already big Middle-Earth fans but the game is getting a bit old so I am afraid that they are going to choose a slow and out dated class. Any tips on classes and events to do so they get blown away? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Question about leveling and imbued weapons. Posted: 10 Feb 2020 04:27 PM PST So I've been leveling my character, and I have a question about my Imbued LIs. How much will I have to grind for star lit Crystals and scrolls of delving before I hit stuff like Mordor and level 120 content? I see people with maxed out tiers and legacies, and I'm curious how much it matters. [link] [comments] |
Returning Player Server Question Posted: 10 Feb 2020 04:04 PM PST I've been away from the game for a long time. I stopped right before Rohan came out. I want to return to Middle Earth, But my old server isn't around anymore. Did I have to do a transfer before a certain time to save those Characters? I just don't want to lose them, I made most of them when the game came out. I've seen people say that Transfers have been disabled for a long time now, are those transfers the same as the ones to get my old server characters back as well? [link] [comments] |
Newbie to Lotro Settings Questions Posted: 10 Feb 2020 07:08 AM PST Just started playing last night after hearing about this game for YEARS. Finally have a decent computer I feel like investing my time in the game with. The issues I'm having involve not hearing any sound in the game as well as the game crashing and saying that my directx 3d driver has stopped running if I try to move out of the game. My computer is running windows 10 64 bit. I have 16GB of RAM and intel I7 processor (10th gen). I feel like I should have plenty of power to run this thing, but it seems like there is some hiccup when the game is running. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
New player, Just wuestion about crafting Posted: 10 Feb 2020 06:18 PM PST With crafting do you just choose the one you like? Or is there better ones for each specific class? Im playing a champion [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Feb 2020 05:39 AM PST Hello, me and a couple of friends started playing Lotro as f2p recently. We have reached almost level 25 now and we're not quite sure what we need to buy in order to progress further. We've reached the Lone Lands, if we buy the quad expansion pack is that enough to progress after level 30? Do we need to buy something else first? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Feb 2020 11:34 PM PST I wanted to give up some tasks, and I see that it is still yesterday. Also, can someone please explain to the people writing announcements that "12PM" doesn't mean jack shit. PM and AM mean before and after noon. 12 is noon, so 12 is neither AM nor PM. And if it were, it would be AM, and 24:00 would be 12PM. So saying that maintenance will be from 7 AM to 12 PM means that it will be from 7 - 24. But they actually mean from 7 to 12. Technology has reached a point where we don't need to use the 12-hour system. We literally have digits to represent all hours in the day. So either say fucking 7AM - 12AM, or better yet, say just 7-12. I know that geniuses will then ask "AM or PM". So then say "Starts at 7 AM and will last 5 hours". Or something. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Feb 2020 04:12 AM PST For context, this is the first time I have encountered difficulty purchasing VIP status. I am going through the process of logging into LotRO, opening the Store in game, selecting "VIP", and going through the steps. When I click on the button in the store window to take me to payment, another window opens up for a Steam login. I enter my credentials correctly, and receive the following message: "There have been too many login failures from your network in a short time period. Please wait and try again later. " I have tried several times, with as much as 3 to 4 hours between attempts. Is this problem on Steam's part or SSG's part? [link] [comments] |
Text size?! I’m blind as a bat Posted: 10 Feb 2020 03:34 AM PST Lifetime subscriber here and continue to do my part to keep LOTRO afloat with my silly points purchases for unneeded items from the store š. I have been playing it since launch and will likely play it until the game shuts down if possible. I have ONE major issue that is preventing me to really playing anymore and it's the text size in game. With a new medical condition my eyesight has gone downhill. This isn't "I need glasses", it's legit unfixable bad. I've been able to mess around with most other things like the HUGE bag add on for inventory viewing, but for the life of me I can't figure out or find a way to get the text size to get BIGGER inside all the chat or dialogue boxes in game (quest turn in, story, etc.). I've only been able to make the boxes with the dialogue in it get bigger but the text size stays the same. Any suggestions/recommendations on ways to fix this? Much appreciate in advance.
