Solo capability of Minstrel and Champion

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 06:19 PM PST

Hello, can someone please help me understand how well (or how poorly) minstrels and champions do in solo play clearing landscape content? And any advice regarding the two would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to decide between the two.

Any upcoming road maps for the year?

Maybe I missed it, but with DDO just getting ours I was wondering if there was any word on where LOTRO is heading this year?

Is there a way to see what content/ quest packs/ etc that you own?

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 09:32 AM PST

Returning player after a few years away. I was a founder, and know that I own Moria through Riders of Rohan. But I'm not exactly sure what other quest packs I purchased between Bree and Moria. And I'm not sure if I bought Helm's Deep or not. I think maybe, but honestly don't remember.

I do remember that it used to tell you, either on the website or in the launcher, what content that you owned. But I don't see those lists anymore. Is there a place or a way to look it up?

    Burglar trait build

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 10:47 AM PST

    Hi folks

Just coming back to burg after a very long time of now playing him. Does anyone have a pic of a viable red build or any other builds that might be fun to level with

    Thanks

    Struggling with Captain

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 09:06 AM PST

I'm level 43 with my captain and have just left the trollshaws and headed to the misty mountains. However, combat has me feeling rather uninspired lately and I'm starting to grow bored of the character. I'm not sure if its the rotations, or if my gear just isn't up to snuff. It always feels like my summoned archer pal does more damage than me. I've been thinking of rerolling into a Champion or a Minstrel, but I've already put so much time into this character since I play rather casually so I'd be remiss to just put him to the side.

I am currently using a halberd in the red line, but have been wanting to try shield+spear in yellow line, since my inspiration for this Character was Gil-Galad.

Should I try another class? Which one? Or Should I keep Slogging through this lull? Any advice?

Some questions regarding (red line) Burglars

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 05:24 AM PST

    Hullo!

I recently started out as a new burglar and I've come across several questions. I'd be delighted if someone shares their expertise.

First of all, is someone willing to share an up-to-date guide/build on a red line burglar? With some explanations how to start the rotation and your trait allocation. That would be much appreciated!

One skill is bugging me in particular: Feint Attack. On its tool tip it says "enables Surprise Strike while out of stealth" and right underneath it says the opposite "Enables Surprise Strike from Stealth". Does it mean it does both? Or has the skill functioned differently in the past but the tooltip wasn't updated? Currently, I am able to use Surpise Strike in stealth and out of stealth without Faint Attack, so i am confused why Faint Attack mentions it specifically. Or maybe I am just too low and something changes when I level up?

Then there is Knives Out: It says "on melee skill damage: reflect 30% of damage". Does that mean when I am doing damage with my melee skills, a portion gets reflected to the opponent? My definition of reflection is that when I get hit something will reflect to the enemy. But then the tooltip description doesn't make sense to me.

And lastly, my question is regarding the stat critical strike. One of the first points to invest in the red line has critical magnitude. If I understand that correctly, it only increased the damage when I land a critical strike but doesn't increase its critical chance, right? Due to some skills triggering when landing a critical strike, I assume a high crit rating is mandatory, am I correct? So critical chance and critical magnitude are two different stats and don't affect one another directly, is that right?

    Should burgs always dual wield?

I was wondering if single sword/club/dagger is less, equal or more beneficial for a Man?
