    Thinking about making Visual Enhancement Guide for LOTRO - share your tricks

    Hey,

    With some things that I've found in recent times (like Nvidia's SGSSAA to remove shimmering or Reshade's Deband to remove massive color banding artifacts on night sky and around object that LOTRO has by default), and along with some more basic filters like Sharpening that I was using since forever, I think I gathered enough improvements to make a guide about it.

    Before I do, I'd like to ask you to share your own tricks that you use to improve the look of LOTRO (or any other games), to check if there any more notable enhancements I don't yet know about and could include in this guide.

    Keep in mind that we are looking mostly for objective enhancements here, stacking dozens of chaotic overdone Reshade filters on top of each other is not a visual enhancement.

    Unable to play LOTRO again due to Launcher error please help!!

    I am reaching out to the LOTRO community as a serious fan of LOTRO the books and the game. I cannot pass!! I cannot seem to login; to get beyond the game launcher error.

    Know that I am not able to write code. I am fairly tech savy but not code writing tech savy. Go easy with any advice as I need a step by step. I am stumped as to how to get back online after playing since the beginning. I have read through many suggestions online through google but many of them seem dated or have not worked so I am appealing to you all.

    Attached is a desktop pic of the error I am getting, Any advice would be helpful as I really miss my online LOTRO Community.

    I play on a Laptop here are the specs:

    Windows 10. Nvidia Ge force GTX 1050

    Surface Book 2

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8650U CPU @ 1.90GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.1GHz

    DirectX Version: DirectX 12

    So, what do I do with unique, but inferior armor? Are there transmutations, a wardrobe? Can you do fashion souls?

    I have always been wary of dropping unique-looking items, so now I have a bunch of lost space. Can you tell me what to do?

    Like, for instance, from the level 20 gift, I got some random circlet , and from the steely dawn pack, I got the whole steely dawn set. Like, what do I do with it?

    PS: What should I buy with coins? I have a horse, and currently I have a bunch of trash I am saving because I fear that it is important, but it probably isn't. I have 4 bags, but they don't seem to be enough. Should I get more bags? Are sales always the same, or are they larger during events and stuff and do they depreciate or are they always and forever 25% or whatever it was last week?

    Beginner with Quad Pack question

    Hey all, recent newbie! Playing as F2P, level 13 right now. I just purchase the quad pack, my question is:

    Do I need to do anything from Level 30 to 45 now that I have the quad pack? Does the quad pack bring filler content for that gap? Or is it suggested I go VIP for that?

    Thanks, I know this question comes around often, just curious if the quad pack will fill up that content between 30 and 45, as I heard a free player needs to buy some stuff around level 30 to reach Moria?

    Controller support?

    hey, so, i know this is a wow style game os i guess fair enough if not.. but Does this game have nay conttroller support? is it possible to use an x box controller for it liek ido with other games on pc?

    if so, is it relatively easy to set up? or is it horribly complicated...

    and if it IS simple/ish, can anybody give me a step by step guide on how i go about it? would lvoe to play this but using mouse and keyboard hurts my wrists and yeh just ends up unenjoyable :)

    Aria Of The Valar

    I am thinking about coming back to the game and was looking in the store and could not find the Aria Of The Valar upgrade. Am I missing it or has it been removed?

    Does the game still run like garbage?

    I love Lord of the rings and would love to get back into the game. Was wondering if it still runs like garbage? Not buttery smooth like WoW.
