What do people mean by "Do rep items for LP"?? Posted: 24 Jan 2020 02:13 PM PST I'm a new player and almost level 20 on my Hunter, and completed many of the deeds in Ered Luin and Shire. I was reading a post about LP farming here, and some of the comments say something about doing "rep". I've seen this being mentioned in several other posts. What are they talking about and how do I get started? And what is the average gain in LP for this? A second question: In terms of farming LP, would you say it's more efficient to do only slayer/explorer deeds in the starter areas before repeating, or continue further with this rep items thing? Thank you. [link] [comments]
Difference between weapon types? Posted: 24 Jan 2020 11:07 PM PST What's the difference/advantages between the different weapon types? Which ones are ideal for which class? Any tips or links to guides about weapons would be greatly appreciated, [link] [comments]
Thanks to the community, and some Hunter specific questions. Posted: 24 Jan 2020 11:29 AM PST Thanks guys I have been easing into this game as a complete newbie and I keep asking such newbie questions, you guys give me great answers. I've gone VIP, I've bought a quad pack on sale, and I am ready to GO! I am playing on Arkenstone and hoping to find some other players to play with, I am about level 15 and I think I am still in the newbie areas (looks like Bree will be my next map)... So thank you all. Now to some class specific questions! I keep searching stuff and things seem to change patch to patch. I just want to know if I am playing my hunter properly. I am around level 15 and my skill bar is starting to fill up. I am going down the red line, and I'm not trying to min/max by any means but I am looking for some suggestions on a few things... Is blue really best for leveling? I mean I only have around 5 talent points at this given moment, so I don't think it matters which tree I am in yet. And I am also looking for a proper rotation. For Red or Blue. I see posts on reddit and forums that Hunters take 5-6 mobs at once all day... I mean, I get 3 and things get iffy, it's a gamble. Perhaps because I am still low level. But as red, I can't move to make damage, so it's really just a battle of HP meters - hence I am thinking about going blue. But I would love if someone can give me some leveling advice as a level 15 Hunter, and more importantly the rotations I should be using for both blue and red. I feel like I am not rotating my skills efficiently either. Thanks again everyone! [link] [comments]
Is there a craft/gathering site for LOTRO like Garland's Toolbase (ffxiv) Posted: 24 Jan 2020 02:58 PM PST ffxiv has an absolutely brilliant search engine for crafting and gathering. shows you how to get the materials, your level, stats, etc. LOTRO have anything like that? I've yet to craft/gather (new) so not sure if craft/gathering in this game is simple compared to how FFXIV craft/gathering is a little more complex. [link] [comments]
Any advice for a console player? Posted: 24 Jan 2020 03:23 AM PST I really want to get into the game but I'm struggling to come to terms with playing on PC. Ever since being a child I've never played PC games beyond things like Sim City etc and have always played all my games on consoles. So I fell like that's the first hurdle for me, getting used to a completely new control layout (honestly, using a keyboard and mouse to play a game seems so alien to me š), all the shortcuts and multitude of interface options seems a tad overwhelming at the moment and ultimately a deterrent for me. I'm aware I can hook a console controller up and play with that but I've been advised it's better in the long run to not to do that. So I think in the meantime I'm going to just try and suck it up and power through, and hopefully it'll become easier and more familiar. But I though I'd try and get some extra advice from here, things maybe to make it a little tamer to begin with. Maybe there's even players who went through the same console-to-PC switch too. Legit cd-key reseller for lotro expansions? Posted: 24 Jan 2020 03:00 PM PST So I was looking to buy a kin friend the moria expansion (he has even less to spend on the game than me, so was looking to do something nice). However, I'm not employed as of now, and am looking to spend as little as possible. The marketplace has the expansion for 19 dollars - but I found the quadpack at a site called http://lotropay.com/buy-keys .I'm not looking to be swindled out of my hard-earned money though, and the price point for the entire quadpack at 15 dollars seemed too ridiculous to be true. Has anyone tried this site - is it legit? If not, are there any other cd key resellers besides the official store that sells the expansion cheaper? Thanks! [link] [comments]
