| Friend List : 'Last Time Online' but what year? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 08:44 PM PST I just logged into LOTRO the first time in about two years tonight. I looked at my friend list and saw that some of my friends were last seen online on mm/dd, but those do not include years. Let's say one of my friends was online on 01/25. Does it necessary mean that he was online on 01/25/2020 or could it also mean that he was online on the same date but in 2019? His level was 115. I'm wondering if it there is any hope to see him online sometimes soon so that we might be able to catch up. It's kinda sad. I got expelled from a kinship, not of my friends was online, and I now totally forgot all the gambits I learned over the years of playing a warden. [link] [comments] | ||

I really miss my LOTRO community and long to get back on but now am shut out. I wish there was someone I could contact at standing stone who could address this. Any advice would be helpful. I tried some of the suggestions and here is what is now happening: I enter my name and password and I login in fine. Choose world and then when i press play, it diverts me immediately back to the login launcher. Try again over and over its the same, rinse repeat. I have tried down loading and using both high res and normal and this is happening. [link] [comments] | ||
| Hunter advice and build for new player + Burglar and Champion Posted: 31 Jan 2020 01:53 AM PST I'm a new player and from what I can see, I want to play with Hunter, Burglar and Champion, but I've no idea what sort of line to pick for them. Searching mostly returns a mess of outdated info, so I figured I'd just ask directly. Hunters - What is the best color for levelling and what is best for group content later on? And can I make him look like a Ranger? =D Burglar - Yellow seem more team support and like it has fun flavor. How are they to play solo and in groups? If poor for levelling, what line suits for that? Champion - How are they doing these days? Haven't seen anything positive written about them. And how does the blue line work? And what sort of equipment weapons suit a blue Champion, if they're alright to play? Thanks for any advice! =) [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 31 Jan 2020 12:07 AM PST So once again I've reached endgame with my beloved RK and it seems preferences for stats have slightly changed since 115 was max level. I see many other RKs focussing on crit more than maximizing tactical mastery even when running red line. So what stat numbers (crit, finesse, t-mastery) should I aim for for highest DPS and maybe even healing as I like that quite a lot as well. | Returning after about 8 years and needing advice on what class to pick Posted: 30 Jan 2020 08:16 AM PST So lately I got an urge to play some old MMOs about which I feel nostalgic. I remember playing LotRO as Minstrel, RK and Burglar although lvl 30-40 was the highest I got. I did RP mostly. Anyway I installed the game lately and wow, it looks so much different. I'm happy to see it alive and kicking About the class though, perhaps you could help me. I narrowed it down to Burglar or Hunter as both stealth and mobillity with ranged attacks appeal to me. I'd like some good DPS, I don't mind a bit more challening class however and don't want the learning curve to be extreme. I will probably roll a human since, sadly, I dislike male Elf model. I have limited time so I want to focus on one class with which I can do a bit of everything. Leveling, events, exploring and some end game PvE if I get there. I'd appreciate some insight! | Crashes in MM have become almost unplayable. Posted: 30 Jan 2020 06:22 AM PST Hi. I started playing LOTRO about 4 months ago and have a pretty good PC. It is win10 and my GPU is a 1080 Ti and a good CPU (8600k) with 16 GB of RAM. I prefer to play in 1440p reso and in windowed fullscreen mode. I use the 64 bit version in game. From the beginning I would get sporadic crashes and I never could figure them out but thankfully they were few and far between. Since I got into Minas Morgul the crashes started happening every few minutes causing many deaths and rez circles. I've played around with settings and even gone down to directx9 and in fullscreen only mode and it seems to be more stable but I still get an occasionl directx or D3D error. Is this a common problem? When I ask my kin the answers vary from never crash to 'ya that happens to me too'. I don't get it. Now in fullscreen mode when I alt-tab out I get a whole system crash/freeze. And seemingly dx9 does not allow a full screen window at 1440p reso. I have tried repairing the game. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers. Any help would be appreciated! EDIT: I should mention that I have been using Reshade for the last couple months. Maybe that could be the culprit? Will test it tonight. [link] [comments] | ||
