Posted: 07 Jan 2020 06:45 PM PST In Dunland, Upper Barnavon, trying to do An Honourable Exchange, but Rhuwalhan's not here! He should be in the North part of the village, right? I was thinking maybe he had been killed and needed to respawn (this happened to Prudwen the first time I went looking for him), but I've been sitting here so long I've killed the wandering hunter 5 times now. I don't think I can proceed further on the Dunland quests without him. :( [link] [comments]
Returning player, couple of questions Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:07 AM PST Hey folks! Hubby and I have decided to take a trip down memory lane and pop back into lotro. We haven't played in about 6-7 years now and I see a lot has changed. My first question is about the lore master. This used to be my favourite class as I loved spending my time in raids constantly buffing and debuffing, crowd controlling, stun immunity, and feeding power to the healers. I was curious if this role has stayed pretty close to the same? My second is about crafting, I used to love farming and cooking and was wondering if those crafts are still relevant? Thanks so much in advance for your time :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jan 2020 02:17 AM PST Greetings! I recently leveled my Captain to 130 and I am now at a point where I'm able to start gearing and level LIs correctly. The thing is, the last time i raided was in 2008 when Moria was released, so im quite out of the loop of the current need and use of Captains in raids or instances. Right now, im quite focused on the Red Line, so nearly all LI Stats are damage/crit related. Only a few of them are about incoming heal. The main question i have is: Do Captains mainly tank nowadays or are they a kind of damage/support member with all the damage buffs they can provide? If both is possible, what Line should be my focus for the start? When i look at the blue line, i think its not quite possible to heal a whole group with only HoT and no big chunk emergency heals. Or am i wrong with that? Which LI Stats should i strive for? Is plain damage ok or should i do more in healing income/outcome? [link] [comments]
Looking for a new home/family :-) Posted: 07 Jan 2020 05:46 AM PST Mae Govannen Middle Earth, I am a returning lifetime player, looking for a place to call home. A little about myself. I am 34 and live in Australia. I joined lotro with the Mines of Moria expansion on Gladden, where I was one of the top end Runekeepers (Malhakai). I later moved to Elendilmir, joined the kin 'Nyx' and found a family, making real life friends in the process. Sadly the kin withered, and I joined the kin 'Misadventures'. I loved weekly raiding and pvp (Lieutenant), but with Riders of Rohan, like so many other players my enjoyment withered and I left the game. I am now getting back into lotro, and with so many changes decided to create and level a burglar (Dinduath) on the Arkenstone server (open to trying Laurelin too). I am only lvl 78, and no longer have any end game characters yet. I will eventually like to get back into raiding and pvp, but am more so looking for a home/family. Like the good old days! I loved getting to interact, work with and help kin mates/like minded people. I am looking for a kin on the Arkenstone server,or possible Laurelin :-) that is friendly, helpful, modest and hopefully has a wide mix of players doing all content of the game. I am quite the completionist, so like minded players would be great :-) [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jan 2020 02:13 PM PST So this will be my 3rd time with LOTRO. First time i played through base, Moria and Mirkwood (fell off after that expansion), 2nd time was only 1,5 years ago and i made a new character for that occation. Now, this last time im at it again, now, i know these legendary servers are up this time around, reading about them it seems they skim through content pretty quick, so question is. Is it lively on the Legendary servers, or am i better off just making/continuing on the normal ones? EU if it helps. [link] [comments]

Couple Returning Player Questions Posted: 07 Jan 2020 04:00 AM PST i'ts been a few years since I've actually sunk any time into it, I've been on/off since it originally came out (too young to work to afford the Lifetime Sub unfortunately, something I will always lament), and the highest character I've ever gotten is a Warden to 31, to the east of the Lone Lands about to head to TrollShawl. I just came back and am playing said Warden (took some time to figure out what my character was doing, lol), and I had a few questions. 1)I went with Explorer for Profession when I was originally playing, since Tailor can make the Medium armor that Wardens use, and then I can mine/log. I was wondering, if I change professions, do I lose progress if I were to go back to Explorer in the future? 2)Is there any sort of add-on that shows quests? One thing I really love about LOTRO is the story and soaking up the environment, which is why 31 in Lone-Lands is the furthest I've made it. I've put about 150 hours into this character doing all the quests/deeds I have found, but I headed to Barrow-Downs to grind the 100 Wight Deed and saw a girl that wanted to be escorted out of the Barrow Downs and back to Bree, which I obviously missed when I was here the first time. Would like to prevent that again. 2a)If there are no add-ons for quests, is there a really good resource for quests? I would spend the time checking a site against my in-game completed log to look for missed quests. 3)Has the Housing system been fixed? Last time I played I had a quest for a House, but couldn't do it because there weren't any houses. Turbine still owned the game at the time and they had been promising a fix, but it hadn't happened. Thanks all! [link] [comments]
Won't even run on very low anymore Posted: 07 Jan 2020 12:23 PM PST I've been playing LOTRO on and off for about 7 years I absolutely love it but I just can't play it anymore. My laptop is about 6 years old. It's a HP Pavillion 15. 8gb RAM, AMD A8-6410 with Radeon R5. It's always ran around 30fps, and inside a house could go up to 110fps. But I recently updated my drivers now even in a homestead it's around 20fps on medium. Set it to very low and there's no difference. Tried Dx9 10 and 11, makes no difference. It's infuriating I can't figure out what's going on. [link] [comments]
LOTRO apparently bogging down my home network, known issue or? Posted: 07 Jan 2020 01:52 PM PST Hello, bit of a puzzler here. Wife + daughter resumed playing LOTRO these last couple of days, and our LAN has been dying since. 300ms+ ping with google.com, missing packets, and so on. It looks a lot like what happens when someone is torrenting, and upstream bandwidth is choking. Seems hard to believe 2 mmorpg clients would eat up band like that. I remember in the past the LOTRO client used a service (Pando something?) to p2p itself to other downloaders. Is this still the case? Is there some new known shenanigan? I couldn't see Pando anywhere in taskmanager. If it makes any difference, they downloaded the client from the website instead of Steam. It would be nice not to have to turn their wifi off when I need to work, so thanks in advance for anyone's help. Cheerio! [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jan 2020 02:21 PM PST I was hoping to download this onto my new MacBook Pro, but the file could not be opened "because Apple cannot check it for malicious software"... Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it? [link] [comments]

How do you get stats on LI?(not legacies or relics)? Posted: 07 Jan 2020 05:45 AM PST My axe has nothing and someone else has might, crit, and parry. Is this crit based when crafting? [link] [comments]
Downloading seems to be a nightmare Posted: 07 Jan 2020 02:09 AM PST Downloaded twice off steam and it didn't work. Got it off the official website and it is barely 50% of the way after 7 hours. Is this normal or did I fuck something up? Edit: It seems to go backwards whenever I touch it [link] [comments] |
