Brand new player to the game and have a few questions. Posted: 03 Dec 2019 12:31 PM PST So I just started playing the game, currently level 14 and wanted to know a few things to help better my understanding of the game 1) can you simply play with a friend and finish quests together or are there only select quests to play with a friend/group 2) for the expansions, are those level restricted and are there specific ones recommended to get first after getting to a certain point in the game? 3) finally, is it a requirement to spend money on other things outside of expansions to get enjoyment out of the game or can you still enjoy it with only getting expansions? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 04:50 PM PST Just came back from long time away. I have a couple lower level chars on Brandywine (highest is 52 MIN). should I stay on Brandywine or star fresh on Arkenstone? [link] [comments]
New-ish and having a blast, but where is the RP? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:39 AM PST Title might be a bit misleading, I'm not complaining at all but curious how it all tends to work here. I've been RPing in SW:TOR for a few years now, and came over here to try something new. Made a character on Landroval (as it seems that would be the best server for my play times), and have just been casually exploring around Bree. Now I've seen plenty of people flagged for RP around Bree, but 95% of them just seem to be listening to music and dancing (which is an awesome feature btw!). So it makes me curious... does most RP happen within guilds/kins like in SW:TOR? Or is there much, as I like to call it, "Natural" RP just in the world? I also tend to play later at night... after 10PM EST, so maybe that has something to do with me not seeing much for RP. Maybe I've just been unlucky? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2019 11:08 AM PST Hello all can someone please tell me what the first agers that valar 120 gives you as a warden? main hand is spear or sword or? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2019 06:56 AM PST Bonus question: Is there any class that really needs set traits to be competitive? Thank you for all your opinions! [link] [comments]
Anyone else getting 0.1% loss every so often? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 02:28 PM PST Looked on both Brandywine and Crickhollow, and noticed every few minutes I'll get 0.1% loss, and after less than a minute it'll go back to 0, but then a while later have 0.1 again. This wasn't happening a few days ago when I was playing, and seems to have started yesterday. My ping stays normal, though, between 30-40ms. But that 0.1% loss annoys me and there's nothing on my internet going that would cause that from what I've gathered. And I'm connected by Ethernet. Is it the servers? [link] [comments]
As much the they complain on the forums the do provide some great info. Posted: 03 Dec 2019 05:55 AM PST I stay away from the official forums for the most part. There are 4 or 5 that do nothing but complain about everything, I wouldnt be surprised if they dont even play the game. I havent played since before the new xpac and wanted to get some info on what is new. Shocker the big, bad, evil thing on the forums is the new "pay 2 win" legendary catch up bundle. Thanks to these complainers I was able to jump on before 2x lotro points expired and pick up one of these awesome bundles. I do have one concern though. According to them I was supposed to "Win" after I purchased this bundle I have yet to "win" so like before I still dont see any "pay 2 win" in lotro. In closing thank you forum complainers for keeping players like me up to date with things I SHOULD BUY. If the 4 or 5 nonstop complainers are complaining about something you can be sure its a great deal or something to look into. Now lotro isnt back into my game cycle but when it is (soon) I'm looking forward to getting my legendarys finally up to speed. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Playing without quest tracker? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 05:11 AM PST Does anyone play without quest tracker/ markers on map? I find that it is much more immersive and the vast majority of quests tell you quite specifically in the text where to go. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2019 02:40 AM PST Are there still players from the old Gilrain server around? [link] [comments] |
