I just switched to the 64-bit client and it made everything so much smoother Posted: 25 Oct 2019 08:23 PM PDT I've been playing this game on and off since beta and was pretty much resigned to the hitching, stutter, and general jankiness that comes with lotro. After 12 years and many PC upgrades, I thought I'd be able to run it better, but nope, still performed horribly. At one point today I got fed up with the pauses every 20 seconds, decided to dig into the options and do some searching on Google one last time. None of the in-game options made a difference, but I stumbled upon the 64bit client "beta" option in the loader which must be a recent addition. Turned that on and loaded the game... And I'll be damned the worst of the hitching is completely gone now, even when running dx11 and ultra high settings. Getting 144fps locked and it looks great. I'm genuinely surprised and thrilled to see this finally get fixed. [link] [comments]

Playing on a Live server, but considering subbing to play on Legendary. Convince me either way. Posted: 25 Oct 2019 11:53 PM PDT I'm really enjoying my experience on the Live Arkenstone server (27 Burglar). But aside from one extremely fun encounter I had grouping up with a couple of people in the Lone Lands, I do find myself feeling as though the world is kind of empty in these early levels. I hear that the Legendary servers are more populated and group-friendly than the Live servers. If I'm looking for more of a social experience, should I pay for a sub to play Legendary? Convince me. On the other hand, I would much prefer to play a F2P MMO. I left Classic WoW recently for just this reason. So, feel free to convince me why I shouldn't sub and keep playing F2P on the Live server. Posted: 25 Oct 2019 05:08 AM PDT How long do we think LOTRO will be allowed to continue? As long as it's somewhat profitable is my guess but I've always been worried this charming wonderful game will see an untimely end. [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Oct 2019 11:21 AM PDT So it is a well known problem these days that people (especially from Steam communities) are having issuses creating an account. There are a lot of worthless tips and tricks to kind of work around it, but the truth is, it's the american site that causes this issue. It doesent matter where you are, if you type in lotro.com you will get to that broken site. BUT there is HOPE! Just click on the Union Jack symbol in the upper left corner, and you will be able to create your new account and dive into this classic experience. :) And YES it is worth your time, maybe not your money tho. :) Sorry the bad english, but I felt like this solution needed a post. Posted: 25 Oct 2019 09:22 AM PDT Hello all! I play on the legendary servers pretty exclusively now, and was wondering if anyone could recommend some places to look for endgame raiding gear. Currently, I have some pretty good reputation (Kin with Stangard) jewelry mixed with some okay quest reward jewelry. I also have the full set of Tower of Orthanc T1 armor and fairly strong Second Age legendaries. Any advice on how to find some of the best of the best would be very much appreciated :) Thanks! Posted: 25 Oct 2019 02:24 AM PDT Wondering about whether its worth playing again? All of my characters are on Evernight, so I think I would rather play on there than starting again on a legendary server, I have one of ever class from level 95 and above (never made it to 120), but thinking about rolling a new character and levelling again, but dont know if there are an kin's taking new characters? Don't really have much time for raid and end game content, so it would mainly just be to enjoy the game from the start again. [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Oct 2019 02:31 AM PDT So I'm new and I want to play the game and buy the newest expansion my question is this. Do i have to buy the previous expansions? or can I just buy MORDOR and get all the content [link] [comments] |
