[RP Overthinking] I'm going for a Hobbit Farmer look. The Straw Hat and Cook Trappings are perfect, I was using the jeans overall from the Outfitter but it looked too basic. Then I tried this set. I REALLY like how it looks, but... does it give a real "Hobbit" feel? It just looks... real world-ish.
I did a very stupid thing...

Ok, so, I have several characters with LIs and all were appraised and... (Insert forehead slap here) I stupidly and unwisely spent ALL of the Ancient Scripts on Enhancement Runes by barter in the Rivendell room where you get the traceries. It was a foolish thing because although it meant I could upgrade a couple of LIs for a couple of 140 characters it now means I have no Ancient Scripts left to even start the LIs for my lower level characters, and believe me after grinding and grinding over the last few weeks for my 140 toons, I need the lower level characters for my sanity.

The trouble is, their LIs just aren't up to the task and my hopeful lower level fun isn't fun, but more hard work because of their poor LIs. So what I'd like to do is grind or farm Ancient Scripts, but how? Since the last update School/library is producing only one tracery. Sari Surma (spelling) the same. I know the reward track was meant to help, and it has, but not enough. Are there other ways? Other instances? Can they be purchased? I'm more than willing to work for it, I just need to know where to go.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Any Update on Transfers from Closed Servers?

I am returning after a LONG absence (2014). I was previously on Dwarrowdelf which has since been closed. Once I updated all the patches and logged in, I clicked the transfer button, but only Bullroarer and Palentir are available.

I found this on a FAQ: Q. Will transfers from closed worlds still be free? For how long?
A. All transfers off of closed worlds will continue to be free indefinitely. Transfers between live worlds will remain a premium service. Please note however that at this time, transfers from closed worlds are currently disabled.

Does anyone have an update on if/when transfers will be available from closed servers?

I am writing to inquire about expansions.

I am considering purchasing the LOTRO Expansion Trove, I am currently a lvl 25 Champion, and I am pretty much out of FTP content. Is the trove appropriate? I want more content but I am not ready to commit to the $180 VIP pack. In the description the lowest level mention is 50, will there be content appropriate for my present level?

How to enlarge text size

Hey y'all, i'm new and having problems in the game. I've adjusted most of the graphics from the UI settings but i still can't read the text in Quest log. It's just too small.

I'm using viewsonic xg2700, here's the specs: https://www.viewsonic.com/tr/products/archive/XG2700-4K

The game looks really nice on 3860x1440 but i can't read the text in the quest log unless i'm too close to the monitör. I've read some answers but they were mostly old ones, like 2017 and before.

I've tried some of the other resolutions but almost all of them worked windowed, like a quarter of the screen. I wanna play full screen+readable quest log. Help please.

I played LOTRO years ago and am considering coming back. Last played with the expansion where you protected the wall (5+ years ago?). Not sure where to start. Should I just begin with a new character or try to pick up where I left off?

Crashing and Black Screen on Launch Help Please!

When i do a clean install the game launches in dx11 mode only, if i pick no to dx11 the game will black screen and freeze. i get in game in dx11 mode and then when i restart game before or after changing any settings i will get black screen on next launch. making the game unplayable.

I've tried their own support link for this issue no fixes work, I've spend 2 days non stop searching forums and YouTube for fixes, nothing works. I'm on windows 11. this issue only started since i tried to play the game again on windows 11 after a break. Video of problem below. If i delete both userpref files then i can start the game again in dx11 only to the char screen.

FIXED
Fresh reinstall of Windows 11 fixed the issue, did not install any of the dx packs or c++ packs, just fresh install, windows updates and steam client.
