    VIP Rewards

    Posted: 06 Feb 2022 08:14 AM PST

Why.... WHY can't they either make the two items PERMANENT or just give us those benefits without making us visit the VIP Rewards Vendor every stinking day? I mean, I get that it was probably easier to implement that way when they started, but come on. If you're not just going to give us those benefits passively, at least make the items not disappear after 24 hours.

PSA: you can buy a permanent port to Lalia's Market for 3 Mithril

    Posted: 06 Feb 2022 09:47 AM PST

For those that do not know yet, the main barter vendor at Laila's Market has a travel skill for 3 Mithril Coins. This gives you a cheap, easy to acquire, convenient travel skill to the middle of Bree inside the shop. One quick turn around and loading screen, and you are next to the VIP quest, the Ember Crafts quest, the Figments vendor, and a 15s or so jog away from the crafting hall.

If you happen to have the hurried and expedient traveler perks bought the cooldown also goes down to five minutes.

But even with 60min it is probably my most used travel skill, and I buy it on every alt. Travel, grab VIP perks, do whatever else you need to do at Bree center, port back to where you were questing with a milestone skill.

This is above and beyond that I expected.

    Old character creation/ intro music

    Posted: 06 Feb 2022 04:30 AM PST

I did put this forth to the official forum a few years back, but does anyone miss the previous character creation screen (with each race in their starting points, Thorin's Hall, Celondim, Bree and Michel Delving)? I really miss the old music too (LOTRO Legacy), which perfectly conveyed stepping into ME on a grand adventure. Whilst I appreciate there are those who prefer the newer versions, surely a toggle (much like the graphics update) could be a suitable system?

New player and GF looking for a Kinship on Crickhollow!

    Posted: 06 Feb 2022 10:47 AM PST

Hey Free Folk! My gf and I started playing LOTRO very recently and would like to join a kinship that is at least somewhat active on Crickhollow.

I was offered to join one on my third day so I accepted. But now that my gf plays with me, nobody in my kinship (which is maybe 1 or 2 people online at most, and rarely officers) answers my Kinship chat or IMs. Even when an officer is online and I ask them to invite my partner, I flat out get ignored along with my IMs to them as they simply log off with no response.

    Thanks. Rant over!

    Stuck between LI systems

    Posted: 06 Feb 2022 04:56 AM PST

My friends an I game together every other Saturday. For a while we were playing LOTRO. We were just about to start Moria content when we shifted games.

Here's the problem: We stopped playing on the epic quest that has you level up your LI and get it reforged. So we all have old LIs which can't be reforged and can't progress the quest. We also don't meet the requirements to enter the archive of traceries - since we haven't progressed far enough in the quest line.

Support abandoned my first ticket after two months without responding. I have a second ticket that's been sitting unanswered for two weeks. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any way around it without a GM giving us new LIs?

    Treebeard 45-60

    Posted: 06 Feb 2022 12:37 PM PST

    Hello,

I am level 45 on my beorning on Treebeard. I have not done Moria content since release. I vaguely remember a new zone being released in this level bracket.

What should be my path forward?

    Thanks!

    Leveling Question

    Posted: 05 Feb 2022 01:38 PM PST

I started playing the game two days ago and reached level 28. Unfortunately a lack of xp began to show after I did every quest in the lone lands. I see people running around at level 31+ doing the same quests that I am.

Did I do something wrong? Is there a secret for faster leveling?

I'm playing on the free version of the game, but I think even with the 30% xp boost I still would not be over the level cap of that zone. I'm confused.

    Speed skill!!!!!!

    Posted: 05 Feb 2022 12:56 PM PST

Not sure if possible, but if I use the "Sprint" skill which is +25% buff with +10% Run Speed Boost, do they stack to 35%?

    Getting into LotRO in 2022

    Posted: 05 Feb 2022 05:19 AM PST

    Hey /lotro,

    so as probably many before me I would like to ask a simple question: how do I get into the game? I have almost no experience with MMOs but I always loved the Tolkien Universe, and I'm only really interested in exploring the amazing map - so;

What would be a good class/race for exploring that ideally lets me deal with challenges easily and alone?

Also, what cost can I expect, or is it possible not to pay when I am just looking for exploration?

And finally, is the whole map accessible or do i need to grind in order to get around?

I would appreciate any answers, thanks!

Has anyone actually seen Forsting? I have all the others, easy peasy. But I have been checking Forsting's spawn points for like 10 days now.

    Are those co-ordinates wrong?

    most populated servers in 2022?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2022 08:38 AM PST

I played this game like 10 years ago and I remember riding into Bree and seeing the town vibrant and filled with players. Rejoined more recently a year or so ago and came back to a ghost town. I really wanna restart lotro with a new character and was wondering what the best server to play on if I wanna have as many fellow players as possible? I'm US based also

    Level 115 needs a revamp

    Posted: 05 Feb 2022 01:12 AM PST

spoiler if you haven't reached Mordor. and sorry in advance for my english I'm not a native speaker.

I returned to my lvl 115 champ recently and decided to lvl him to 140. My main focuses in the game are the stories(quests) and the exploration(landscape+music). So I followed the black book of mordor and soon enough ended in Northern Mirkwood. This region is great(although too genearous with xp) but when I reached Erebor I was in shock.

King Thorin said that the Iron garrison failed. That's when I found out that the allegiance arc for the dwarves contains the details - so I returned to Mordor and started doing the repeatables. I still haven't finished this grind which takes forever and I'm already level 120. overleveled the dwarf-holds without even stepping my foot there.

Now grinding for gear in level cap is no news in this game, but grinding for stories not in level cap is a huge letdown. If I follow this grind I outlevel all content by many levels and spent weeks for a scrap of story each time that is later mentioned in the game. If I don't then how am I supposed to act or understand what is going on in the story? I roleplay quite often which is also an issue.

Is there any way to level my allegiance without the repeatables? Anyway IMO it should be fixed, allegiance grind not in level cap should be decreased. Grinding for story not in level cap is just not a good design, especially for a game that is so good in design such as Lotro.
