I miss this game so much. But I just can’t get back into it. Posted: 27 Aug 2021 11:38 AM PDT I played religiously just after mines of Moria launched. I remember ecstatically pre ordering Isengard because it was the first video game pre order I ever made. Then I started college and took a break for a couple of months and boom… that was it for me. Over the past decade I have tried countless times to get back into it. Using my old character or starting a new one from scratch. It doesn't matter. Last October I finally got VIP membership for the first time and started a new run. Made it to around 35 before I gave up. What is it with this game and everyone always wanting to return but not able to follow through? Have you come back after a long hiatus? What was the one thing in the game that finally got you to stick with it again? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2021 08:38 PM PDT Hey LOTRO family. Finally got a desktop, I always wanted. Finally got LOTR downloaded. I'm in the US server Ganner, I believe its called. Anybody in this one? [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Aug 2021 06:57 PM PDT The game rejected my username and password. I'm 99.99% sure I didn't just up and forget my password, but I figured it's possible I missed some "you need to change your password" notification, and I reset it. No dice. Reset it again more carefully this time, making sure there was no error in that process, and still didn't work. Username/password doesn't work on the standing stone form the reset returns you to. Is my account just on double secret probation out of no where, or what gives? I contacted support the other day, but still no word. No indication of an error other than username and password don't match. [link] [comments]
Is it possible to hit 130 without owning Minas Morgul? Posted: 27 Aug 2021 09:40 AM PDT I am a complete casual but have played LOTRO off and on since 2008. I have never owned a character that was max level during the time that was max level except when I hit 50 on the recent legendary servers I think a couple years ago. I am currently level 122 and am still doing Iron Hills (yes I know, lower level) and have started some Vale quests. With New World and Diablo 2 on the horizon my goal is to hit 130 in the next couple weeks. I don't think I need to purchase Minas Morgul to hit 130 correct? While obviously I know this answer; I can always do a bunch of missions but I want to experience the story too. Also missions are always your level and the jump an expansion mob health is quite jarring plus everything hits hard. Is this doable? Thanks! [link] [comments]
The Perfect Picnic - chatty hobbits Posted: 27 Aug 2021 07:54 AM PDT I've had a hard time trying to figure out what, if anything, the chatty hobbits you can scold in the skirm do. I thought maybe scolding them would reduce the number of hobbits that try to eat your food at the end, but that doesn't seem to be the case. They also don't appear to reward any extra coins or marks or such when it's over. Anyone have any idea what they're there for? [link] [comments]
Returning Player from 105 Cap. Looking for essence advice on 130 gear. Posted: 27 Aug 2021 02:37 PM PDT So, I played from Rise of Isengard all the way to March of the King and took a break when flower picking was "endgame". I just hit 130 on my guard thanks to casually playing mid-summer and farmers fair (with a trip through Mordor for the story). I've got my gear sorted out - at least what I'm working towards getting with a dps setup. I've got to admit though, the essences have me a bit lost. Are we still crafting everything? Are they barter in the newer areas? A combination of both? Are there any that are viable from, say 100-120 cap (class specific procs)? I don't plan on any heavy raiding in the near future, probably a mix of landscape and whatever 3 mans I can solo/duo. The only essences I've gotten a hold of were landscape drops from Wildwood dailies. Any help would be appreciated, I'm actually having a blast with 4+ years of "new" content. Also on a seperate note: Where should I be looking to upgrade my imbued LIs runes/devices/etc? Is the old westemnet 7.5 devastate magnitude still viable? I did see an elderslade barter base damage mod increase which looked nice, but I'm not sure how that pans out. Thanks in advance from a washed up, undergeared dwarf. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2021 04:24 AM PDT Hello everyone ! I recently came back to lotro, after having stopped in 2015. My account was already 5-6 years old at the time, having been created in 2009/2010. Then, when I created a new character, I received a bunch of anniversary gifts, from 1 year to 6 years. However, with how old my account is, shouldn't I have received at least the 11t hand 12th gifts too ? I'm premium, but not VIP, maybe that is the issue ? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2021 08:34 AM PDT In chat, Champ says: "I've never done this one before. All I know how to do is chop and hack and slice!" Fellowship says: "It'll be fine, just follow our lead...," [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2021 09:31 AM PDT As the title says, I'm a new player trying to find my way about this game. I've been a huge Tolkien fan since I was 10, having read his books on Middle-Earth multiple times. I wanted to find a new way to experience his world so I gave this game a shot. I'm in the Shire now(playing as a Hobbit guardian) and am currently loving roaming around Middle-Earth completing quests at my liesure. That being said, I feel like I still don't really know much about the game, how it works, how I should be leveling/progressing, etc. I'm hoping for some tips or pointers to help me understand the game loop more so that when it comes time to move on to more difficult areas I'll be prepared [link] [comments]
How many farmer faire tokens can you earn per day? Posted: 27 Aug 2021 10:32 AM PDT I haven't gotten to play very much lately and Wonder how many I can get in the last couple of days, anyone know if I do all the repeatable quests? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2021 06:29 AM PDT Once upon a time, a VIP player received 500 LOTRO points (formerly TP) at every monthly renewal. I never tried to figure out what happened when I switched to quarterly payments, and having recently returned as VIP I'm still not sure (although I had 10K when I came back after a couple of years as a non-playing Premium account). Can anyone set me straight on this? It was a nice little perk for VIPs. [link] [comments] |
