    Hey everyone!

    Recently I got the urge to explore middle-earth again after around a year I guess. I still had lotro installed so my username at least is correct as it remembered that.

    The password is where everything goes wrong. It keeps saying username/password is incorrect so I figured I just forgot my password and reset it. I've done this multiple times now and it's the same story everytime. I never even get a "password succesfully reset" message.

    I also created a support ticket yesterday and haven't heard back yet. I also tried creating a new account with another emailaddress to see if there were server issues but everything is fine on the new account. This all leads me to thinking that maybe my account got hacked and banned. Which would suck because I did put a fair bit of money in this game (not whale level but still).

    Appreciate any input!

    I failed the first scholarship task, what do I do now?

    so the title already tells the story, I failed the task of crafting a scroll of minor scholar lore. What do I do now? So far I lack the ancient artifact to complete it, where could I get that?

    VIP Store Items

    I've been wondering something about the VIP subscription. There are several things in the LOTRO store that are "Free to VIP." That's a good idea, I think. Give people some benefits that you could get from the Store with some grinding. I like it.

    Here's the question. If I am VIP, get the packs, and then stop being VIP, do I still have said packs? I could get the seven or so items over time, but that's... I take it back. I just looked, and there's 12 items. I'd say... probably 10,000 LOTRO points total.

    Point being!

    If I am VIP and buy all 12 of these packs, and then stop being VIP, do I still have the packs afterwards? If so... I won't lie, I'm considering buying a one month subscription, which is $14, so I can get all these things a whole lot faster.

    Is there a point to start playing as f2p?

    I'm wondering if I should play the game, because I would stay f2p. But it already feels like I missed out on a chance to play since i missed the free quest packs.

    Launcher issues?

    Is the game down at the moment? Noticed that the launcher fails when trying to reach the patch server. Launching through Steam if that matters.

    Didn't see anything on Twitter a few minutes ago, unless they posted something between then and now.

    EDIT: It is Wednesday my dudes. Thanks to u/Thimbur for reminding me about weekly server restarts. <3
