Just subbed and rolled on Treebeard- is it worth the time? Posted: 13 Jul 2021 11:58 PM PDT Hey everyone! I just subbed and made my first ever hero on Treebeard. He's a Human Captain, ready to rock! I'm having fun and just started crafting (woodworking), but I have this feeling that I'm going to be playing this game solo. Is there any actually substantial population playing the game? I know it's too early for me to have seen a lot of folks, which is why I'm not panicking now, just asking now. The game is a touch outdated, but I don't mind that, I just want to make sure there are people to play with and I'm not just soloing as a support class. Thanks everyone! [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2021 06:21 PM PDT I'm a new player. Recently started a Champion. LF Guild, idk what they're called in game. I'll be active mainly in evenings an off days. [link] [comments]
Is it a good time to play again? Posted: 13 Jul 2021 05:56 PM PDT I noticed when I played before I tried it out, had allot of fun but noticed it was pretty pay to win, like I had to pay for more bag space, was limited to what I can do ext. with the new classic servers out is it still like that or would just a lotro membership suffice? What is one deed that made even completionists give up on? Posted: 13 Jul 2021 05:31 AM PDT For me, the Radagast repeatables in the Vale of Anduin were just too much. 180 repeatables that weren't interesting, gave no relevant awards other than a title, nor quick to complete? No thank you. At least the quests for the outrageous deed for repeatables in North Ithilien provided meaningful rewards. [link] [comments]

Posted: 13 Jul 2021 06:42 AM PDT So Im sitting at the sherrif station waiting to give a statement (Im not in trouble but we had a small run in with a bad contractor). As im sitting there a deputy comes in saying he needs to pick up some pies and deliver them to some event. I laugh a little at this and (fortunately) no one notices. But then they cant find pies anywhere, they aren't in the refrigerator, they aren't in the back room. After watching everyone rush around looking for pies they finally showed up (respawned) and the deputy was able to restart his mission. Now I know what happens to my mail when it goes missing. The highs and lows of coming back Posted: 13 Jul 2021 08:54 AM PDT I played LOTRO very regularly from closed beta and launch well into Moria. After that, I came back every couple years to play for a few months. As of now, I haven't played in almost 5 years. So I was excited about journeying once again on the new legendary servers. After starting a new class I've never played before, I was having a blast: The world looks more amazing than I remember (probably due to the High res graphic and having a far more powerful PC). The difficulty options provide a fun challenge, the players are still mostly nice, and the story is still fun after the nth time doing it. But then I came across HER in the Bree-land prologue story instance.... Sara ******* Oakheart. Have you ever felt your spirit just up and leave your body? It's like all the positive vibes I was getting from playing again just evaporated in an heartbeat. I hadn't event started escorting her yet... but I knew what was ahead. I almost just stood up and unplugged my PC rather than give LOTRO the satisfaction of exiting the game normally. Welp, I did finish that quest (grudgingly) after grabbing a drink. But my motivation for returning is a bit lacking now. I am dreading having to deal with her slow butt again. Anybody else have any similar experiences on coming back (not just with this NPC)? Beorning Solo Annuminas On level Posted: 14 Jul 2021 01:53 AM PDT Hello, does anyone know if it's possible currently to solo the Annuminas instances (particularly Haudh Valandil) at level 40 as a beorning? About a year ago someone posted to this subreddit that they were able to solo all 3 Annuminas instances on level as beorning, but I was struggling to duo it with my guardian friend on level. For reference, both of us are relatively new to the game, but we have experience with mmos in general so I think we understand interrupts/dispels/rotations decently well. I have a feeling it's our gear that's holding us back to some degree, as the post from a year ago that I was referring to showed a screenshot of a beorning with 7k morale, but in yellow tree at 40 I only have about 3.5k. Thank you!! [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2021 08:30 AM PDT Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the longest single stable ride in the game is, based on actual time spent on the horse? (e.g. not fast travel) Did Rivendell to Mirobel recently and it took about 15 minutes. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2021 03:11 PM PDT I played for several years just after launch, but have parked all my toons, on all accounts, long ago. I have all classes most at level 105 on my lifetime account. I have spare points and thought I might revive a couple of characters with the 120 Valor sale. I enjoyed the Hunter and Lore Master as mains. However, the last one I got to 105 was my Captain which I enjoyed. The only ones I did not reach 105 with were the Champ and Minstrel. Champ was fun but I lost interest in game. What classes are in good shape right now? [link] [comments]
"Chunk of Blue Rock-Salt" - Best place to farm? Posted: 13 Jul 2021 04:40 PM PDT I need a good bit of this ingredient for crafting crits. Wiki says they drop from humanoids between levels 45-50. So does anyone know of a good place to farm such a thing? Also. Is there a way to convert rock salts? I have so, so much of other colors. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2021 12:16 PM PDT Hey there, so I started playing on Shadowfax recently and have yet the deed "Scouting the Dourhands" to complete. Thing is, i have unlocked all necessary POI, but it doesnt register the last one in the book of deeds. What else can i do to get it registered? Is it possible to cancel the deed and start again? Thanks in advance Update: Problem resolved. [link] [comments]
