| Returning for the new servers? Let's start a community kin! Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:50 AM PDT Hi, my name is Joe. I'm 27 from the UK and I'm really excited to play the new legendary servers. Anor was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Being able to play through the old caps again, levelling up with everyone, having the reset economy was such a great time. I'm so looking forward to experiencing that again. But most of all, I loved the community experience that came with it. I spent a good amount of time being part of There and Back Again, which was one of the largest (and still is the largest kin on Anor) community kins on Anor. There were a lot of friends, a lot of good times, a lot of banter of discord, and a couple of friends that have become incredibly close outside of the game. It was a great place to call home for a good while. I'm essentially looking for that home again, either to create it or to find it. I've noticed there's a few people in the same boat, either returning to the game for the new servers, or perhaps looking to meet new people as part of the new server experience. I'd like to find a group of people to laugh with on Discord whilst we run Great Barrow or raid The Rift, or even just farm everyone's class items as we get levelled up. I'm more a slow methodical player so I'll be playing on Treebeard. But I don't really understand the trade channel or the LFF channel… all the time I see things like: Pel 3/6 pst need tank/dps Is the first bit an abbreviation? I would assume it stands for Peligir. The 3/6 I would think is the number of people in the queue, however, I go to the instance finder panel, and never see these instances that are being talked about. As for the trade channel, a lot of the time I see people offering trades I wonder for some time in the future's sake how to do that. [link] [comments] | ||
| Question on difficulty sliders Posted: 27 Jun 2021 09:22 PM PDT As I understand it, the difficulty sliders will work by effectively nerfing your character and leaving the mobs as is due to the fact all different levels of players will be sharing the world together. There has been clamoring for increased rewards for playing on the highest difficulty. The better the rewards get, the more likely players are to do anything to obtain them, so what is to stop players from choosing the highest difficulty level then growing up with other players on the lowest setting? Or multiboxing? Or outleveling content to the point mobs are gray? [link] [comments] | ||

I have about 3K LPs, so I can technically afford the expansion, but I'd prefer to use my LPs on cosmetics if possible. Should I buy the Expansion Trove? I've heard that it's a bit scaled down compared to getting each expansion individually. I have a Guardian as well, but I wanted to level up my Hunter a bit more before diving into him. | Old VIP player and expansion questions Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:11 AM PDT I'm an old VIP, and I've taken some long breaks, as a result, I'm missing the last three expansions. Until now, it hasn't been an issue, because I hadn't gotten far enough in, but now I finally have brought one of my character up to the point that I got an alert to buy one - Mordor. I'm now at level 111, and am on Book 8: Chapter 4: the black gate. So, here's my question/series of questions. Via the Standing stones website, Mordor by itself is no longer available, but is included in a bundle pack of which the rest I already have, at $59.99 Via the LOTRO Store, I can get Mordor by itself for 2495 points. Is there any reason I should get the bundle? Is there anything it would offer that I don't already have through buying the expansions individually, previously? And should I get the others right now, in order to get the non-base specials? [link] [comments] | ||
| Game Won't Download Or Uninstall Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:49 AM PDT LOTRO won't download on my computer. I keep getting an unspecified error halfway through the installation process. It just keeps "retrying" and failing every minute. I thought I'd just uninstall it and try again, But it seems I can't even uninstall the program. When I try to open the uninstaller I get another error that says, "The program can't start because GameuxInstallHelper.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem". Anyone have any idea what I'm supposed to do here? I can't download the game, but it won't let me remove it from my computer either. | Unable to login due to password issue? Posted: 27 Jun 2021 11:36 AM PDT Hey guys, I understand this might be a longshot but it appears I'm not the only one having this issue. Looking at this thread - https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?679849-Can-t-log-in/page2 No matter how many times I've changed my password I'm unable to login to the launcher or the website. I don't know if any SSG members/support reviews this reddit, but does anybody else know of a potential fix? Or is it a ban which is displaying incorrect ID/PW? (I don't know why this would be as the account is several years old and the last thing purchased was LOTRO points) It's the reason I was logging in today, to get some extra bonus points for the opening of the new legendary servers, but looking at the comments in the above linked thread, people have been waiting MONTHS for a reply from support and they still have no access..
