- I played many MMOs since 1999. I never gave LOTRO a chance and I just about finished all the quests in the Shire. I haven't been this enchanted in years and seriously adore the experience so far.

Recycle approach - Astoundingly low and I m quite stunned by blinded folk for they are surely unsophisticated ,ignorant and purely addicted into brain-dead mode game has became some time ago in particular with past several major updates which was to be fair a long on-going process dating back even with Introduction of Imbuement system as well, but by All Valier Missions reputation is low and these instances are impossibly easy, they offer as standard cosmetic pets, housing things and cosmetic outfits which are not even comparable to old quality of items offered long time ago. The mob's are not a threat at all and their buffs are laughable because classes are severely overpowered. Yet another draining tedious implementation that takes enormous amount of time to collect all and with typical defend, kill and hold that point etc, same as skirmishes but to the worst extent. War of the Three peaks has worst voice acting, instances, quality of world ,soundtrack ,itemization and missions were lowest that can get, It cannot get lower really. After 14 years that's the best they can come with it. You can mindless players resting with Mithril quest that kills orcs, burns banners and cave claws and collects some goat cosmetic pets. Apart of some decent lore there is absolutely nothing worthy nor exciting. Whoever enjoys completely absurd and utterly boring grinding, entirely broken end game content or grinding one thing all day long surely needs to re check their overall well being and mayhap do other story lines or expansions, games. A catastrophic update and incredible heavy emphasis on dwarves that is now lasting for far too long. I truly feel sorry for anyone not being able to experience game in it's golden period in 2007-2009. The last Decent expansion and update Was Mordor and Northern Mirkwood - Anything after was a total collapse. P.S. You can pick any old Eriador zone or Moria region which is miles better than two previous expansions combined in every single aspect. | [Linux] Suddenly, LOTRO refuses to launch via Steam/Proton Posted: 07 Jun 2021 09:39 PM PDT Hi all, I've recently returned to the game and the game has been running flawlessly on Linux Mint 20.1 with Steam/Proton. I recently had to re-install my OS (same OS as before..it's a long story) and when I got around to re-installing LOTRO, I found that it suddenly refuses to even launch! I click on 'play' and the 'preparing to launch' window pops up and stays there for about two minutes before disappearing and the 'play' button turns green again. Nothing else happens. I've tried everything to get it working as it was before, but nothing works. I've switched linux kernels, verified files, uninstalled and re-installed the game, emptied my download cache. What am I missing here? Any suggestions would be very, very much appreciated! I miss Middle Earth! [link] [comments] | ||
